This match up IS alot like the Nate and Donald Cerrone fight. Regardless of how the Cowboy looked in his last showing her is a good striker, throws alot of flying-knees, very similar to Condit. I think this fight has a very high chance of going the same way as Nates fight. This fight can still go either way. Go Nick!

@joon720 Yeah. Condit and Cerrone both train at Jacksons too. I think it comes down to if Condit sticks to his gameplan, unlike Cowboy. Cowboy tried to engage in a boxing match with Nate, which is why he got whooped. He should've stuck to his game plan and kicked the shit out of Diaz. Hopefully Condit sticks to his gameplan.

In boxing it doesn't matter about the power condit has.. About speed and technique .. Carlos well get stunned because Carlos hasn't faced a Southpaw like nick Diaz (right foot foward instead of left) Carlos will get put against the caged and will get forced into deep rounds ... Carlos has no chance sorry... Boxing rules all stand up because boxer keep moving foward which cancels out legs kicks and Carlos will get tired and submit him like the cyborg fight

@callaghan420 Dan Hardy is a Southpaw with a boxing style and Condit made short work of him. Perhaps he is not a Southpaw in the way that Diaz is as I am not certain about his particular footwork. Due to Diaz's superior cardio I doubt Condit is going to want to go into the later rounds....I see him taking big chances, pushing the action and ending it early.

Dan Hardy has a great chin too but Condit got there first with a punch in which he put much of his body weight behind and it was lights out. Who cares who wins? I am definitely aware of that, and believe me, I don't at all doubt that Nick could win this fight, but I think its the toughest test he has had in a long time. I would personally put Carlos Condit on a higher level than Paul Daley. Daley did have Nick in the most trouble he has been in in a while though for sure, but Nick is obviously very hard to put away due to his phenomenal conditioning.

Condit has never been knocked out, he has lost 3 times by sub twice by decision. Nick has been tko'd once and was rocked pretty good against Paul Daley. I think its hard to say that Nick has the chin advantage. Condit has comparable power to Paul Daley and would likely finish Nick if that situation comes up in this fight.

I give Nick an advantage on the ground, could possibly sub Condit if it ends up on the ground, but the only way this might end up on the ground is if one guy drops the other and follows up on the round. It is also worth noting that Nick is used to having a reach advantage and Carlos has equal reach, also not at a size disadvantage like BJ was. Should be a great fight, could go either way, but I think Carlos is far and away the toughest matchup Nick has faced in a long time.

Definitely agree that if this fight goes into deep water, advantage Nick, but maybe not by alot.  For Condit to win this he has to really utilize his kicks and try and keep Nick at some distance. If Nick throws too much caution to the wind trying to close that distance he could get caught and Condit clearly has the power advantage, obviously Nick knocks alot of people out as well, but between the two of them, Carlos is the one more likely to hurt someone badly with a single strike.

Has anyone noticed how similar the upcoming matchups for the Diaz brothers are for their next fights. Nate vs Cerrone and Nick vs Condit, very similar matchups. I just think it is interesting, could the way the Nate vs Cerrone fight goes be an indicator of how Nick vs Condit will go. Nate and Nick are mirror images of each other, though Nick is a little better at everything than his brother.
