  • NINTENDO HAS FAILED ?

    WII 2006

    PS3 2010

4 years in the game market selling consoles with a failed product?Dont make me laugh

Move its better that wiimote because because it had to be better. They have a lot of time to copy and improve an invention that nintendo was selling really well, just for notice now that what people really wants to buy is something diferent. Thats why they chose kinect XD

you are right on this:Move has more accuracy.

But thats not what really matters for Sony.

  • @fdavidgomes Hmm copied? the ps3 move had been researched since 2001, and had a tech demo the same year, and 2003, the wiimote was not even done until a year later or so.

  • Playtasion dildo kit

  • i think PSmove is the best of both worlds, it has the contoller (from wii) and the camera, full body tracking (like kinect) but both of them are more of a novel thing (idk if thats the right word) it doesnt really add anything to the gaming experience, but it is kinda fun for a few minutes... i wouldnt recommend buy either of them honestly, just go out and buy a wii lol

  • SIKE MOVE IS BULLSHIT TRY PLAYING THAT SHYT WITH THE LIGHTS OFF IS NOT EVEN RESPONSIVE AS FAST AS WII IS

  • wow sony has been working on motion since 1998 or 1999 nintendo started in 1987 so now tell me since sony has been working on these new controls why did they show a boomerang style ps3 controller instead of a disco stick nintendo makes a controller shows it off but waite they improve it and actually shows it off and how it works not to mention sony added motion to there sixaxes controller 8 months after nintendo demoed there controller so sony drons shut up nintendo innovates sony fails

  • sony move is gay if you dont but the nunchuck wana be part you have to use the ps3 controller in place ha ha ha ha ha ha of it thats to funny sony fails agin

  • @390fusion lmao, since kinect won so hard then how did they fuck up so bad in the E3? and what about exclusives eh? Xbox is getting old and you know it.

  • *ding*

    *ding*

    *ding*

    *ding*

    DID YOU SEE THAT?! hahaha

  • realy. robotumus crime? c'mon...

  • BORING!!!

  • Nintendo makes little kids games, don't let that trick you into thinking they aren't ruthless. They are probably some of the most cut-throat marketers and businessmen in the console arena.

Nintendo understands that kids are a huge part of the gaming world. They develop games for kids, but added with the Wii technology that would appeal to older people as well.

There was little attention to detail and quality, they just mass produced a gimmick that people bought into like crazy.

  • Next year...

    PS Move: FIT!

    With Playstation Fitness board!!!

  • @ShadowedWolfPuppy:

well, gotta agree on that one.

  • I'd say Sony Steals Nintendo's Ideas As They Always Did Since When The PlayStation Was Created.

I'm not bashing anyone, that's just FACTS...

  • @Hack3r91 SONY 3D!!! nintendo 3ds!!! Nintendo WII ps move... something is going on here...

  • @Hack3r91

    Um. No.

Sony and nintendo were working together to develop a CD-ROM for the SNES. Sony developed it and announced it, then a day later nintendo announced they were going to break with Sony and go with Phillips. They took the technology with them, so Phillips could use nintendo characters in CDi games and Nintendo Nintendo would control of sales for the CD-Roms.

Nintendo offered sony a "non-gaming" role in their partnership, but sony instead designed their own console.

  • @Hack3r91 uh Sony steals Nintendo's Ideas?get your facts straight man.Sony has been testing out motion controllers since 2001 and have even shown a prototype before.and like Smullet said,Nintendo was supposed to partner up with them before the PS1 came out,but Nintendo screwed them over and Sony decided to just make thier own console.Kinect technology had already been made as well with the Eyetoy.and Sony HAS been working on an advanced voice recognition system vastly superior to the Kinect.

  • @CodeIamx - Hate to butt in because you're right to attack Hack3r91, but your facts are not quite correct. You're right that Sony has been investigating motion control for years with the EyeToy (thanks to it's creator Richard Marks), but they never hand a motion controller with buttons and motion sensors, hence that did come from the Wiimote. Hence PSMove is basically an enhanced Wiimote whilst Kinect is essentially an enhanced Eyetoy. Sixaxis was an enhanced MS Freestyle Pro. Just saying :)

  • @MTMind2 You' re right...and I don't even like all this stuff about patents and who "owns" an idea. I have to admit that Sony has actually been working on something similar even before Nintendo. It's just that Sony has never come up with original ideas before, especially about controllers and it just sounded unfair to troll Nintendo on THIS specific subject ;-)

  • @Hack3r91 wow dude sony never has original ideas?? Wow..Oh they only invented the tape cassette, tape player,cd,cd player, the smallest headphones, bluray discs,& of course the awesome consoles theyve put out.Lets go back in time to when Nintendo couldnt even make their own cd game console to compete with the Sega CDx so they turned to SONY!

  • @SuperGoodguy2010 I was talking about gaming industry. Sony had some awesome ideas on that side. You forgot the Minidiscs: I love Minidiscs! Awesome little discs with anti-skip technology and great audio quality...But this is just off topic I guess.

  • @MTMind2 ok but both the sixaxis feature in ps3 controllers, the eye camera,&PS3's move are more accurate & quicker to respond than the wiimote. Also the PS3 doesnt even require that you hook up a long ass bar like the wii requires..

  • @SuperGoodguy2010 - Yes, Move is faster and more accurate than the Wiimote, even with the MotionPlus, but then coming out 4 years after the Wii was launched, it should be better. However, Move and Wiimote are closer than you think. Move puts the camera by the TV and detects the lights at the end of the wand. Wiimote puts the camera at the end of the wand and detects the IR lights in the sensor bar by the TV. Hence having a sensor bar by the TV is no more or less trouble than a camera by the TV.

  • @MTMind2 1 the camera is waaay smaller 2 ps3 uses blutooth instead of old infraredwhich means you dont have to stand in one spot almost like you would have to do with wiimote. With the wiimote you must position everything just right to get a decent response & even then it still sucks.Infrared is for tv remotes & should stay that way instead of using it in new motion control hardware like the 360 & Wii do..

  • @SuperGoodguy2010 - 1. And there's no ball at the end of the Wiimote, so size is irrelevent 2. There are several 3D cameras in development today, some of which will be integrated into TVs (Toshiba and Hitachi), and they ALL use InfraRed, because you cannot model the world in 3D in realtime with Bluetooth but you can with IR. So it's not about old and new tech, it's about which tech is best for the job, and IR is best for 3D cams! If Sony make a 3D cam in future, it will most likely use InfraRed.

  • @MTMind2 i'm sorry, sony already has a cam called the EyeToy, which uses infrared just like the kinect, sony knows what they are doing because they have been there and done that and realized that infrared cameras isn't the way to go.

  • @PcRoX123hackedACC - EyeToy is a webcam, excellent & high spec for it's day, but a webcam just the same. It does NOT use IR, neither does the PSEye, therefore neither are capable of 3D motion tracking/modelling like Kinect. What Richard Marks played around with in 2004 was 3DV's Z camera (also known as the ZCam), and it's from using such tech that he decided not to go in that direction. That doesn't make him/Sony right or wrong, they had to choose ONE direction and the choice they made was Move.

  • @MTMind2 Well yes, the PS move is basically an enhanced Wiimote, but then again, calling Sony and Xbox nothing but cheapskates stealing others ideas is like saying Nintendo is cheap for copying the Atari for being an Enhanced Home console or even calling the the Atari a rip off of the Magnavox Odyssey....but no one says that now do they?

  • @MTMind2 They had a demo for the ps move on the ps2 in 2003 actually, and began researching it in 2001.

  • @tisokan - No they didn't, you've been listening to too many fanboys :-) If you read my post, all they had back then were webcam demos, like those demoed here by Richard Marks, so again, no motion sensing wand or device. Listen to Richard Marks in 2009, where he confirms they used that old sphere tracking tech and started working on the motion sensing wand itself in 2008 (go to 4:41);

    /watch?v=tlDXIl619CQ

In contrast, google: 'Nintendo Gyration 2001' and read how the Wii got started.

  • @tisokan - So back in 2001, Nintendo (thanks to Gyration) were already working on the equivalent of the Wiimote with nunchuck, whereas all Sony had at that time was webcam object tracking. Don't get me wrong, some of that work by Richard and his team for Sony was absolutely superb, but it doesn't change the fact that they had no demo, prototype or patent for a motion sensing wand device, since all their focus was on webcam interaction, which is no more Move than Camspace;

    /watch?v=v0srY37kkMw

  • @MTMind2 Yes it was tracking but it was still a stick that moved things on the screen which oh wait is like the wii mote, just cause they upgraded it does not mean you can not deny it exsisted to move things on a screen just like a wii.

  • @tisokan - Again you miss the point, it doesn't matter if the ball was on the end of a stick, the end of his foot, or on his head, there are no motion sensors in that ball or stick, so that's just simple object tracking. What makes the Wiimote and Move what they are is the MOTION SENSING wands, without that, there would not be suitable as game controllers, which is why Sony couldn't take the object tracking any further...until Wii showed them the solution.

  • @CodeIamx so why did they show a bull shit ass boomerang controller at e3 2006 and why did they waite so long after nintendo controller generated so much hype to add motion to there shitty ass dual shock besides nintendo didnt screw over sony sony screwed nintendo sony ended there contract early to get what nintendo and sony had planed and there for ps1 was made so in other words nintendo made ps1 2 and 3 fag

  • @MrSmokinhotdude Nintendo did screw over Sony because they wanted a CD-based attachment for the SNES that was coming out I believe since Sony was doing well for itself by building walkmans and what not, but since they had seen the failure of such consoles like the Sega CD they backed out early and left Sony life "wtf?" which in turn Sony got super pissed about it and the CEO actually wanted to not even go into anymore, but Ken Kutagari wanted to continue on and get into the gaming world.

  • @MrSmokinhotdude Nintendo backed out also because their dumbasses had went back to look at the contract Nintendo had signed with Sony and saw that Sony would get complete control over any and ALL titles on the SNES-CD....so they ended up teaming up with Phillips. And as for the controls...Sony likes to perfect their motion controls, not like Nintendo whom actually released the Wiimotion plus controls after the PS move and Kinect had already came out.

  • @CodeIamx umm wii motion pluse came out b4 move and kinect and here is the part thats killing me your saying move is not a copy of wii when sony them selves said move was inspired by the fuckin wii controller

  • @ShadowedWolfPuppy:

no, sorry. the atari 2600 vcs sold 30 million units.

Sonys PlayStation 2 sold 146.9 million units and is the wrld most sold console today. theres nothing more-sold. and no, im not a sony fanboy (not anymore) but im just saying the truth. so still, sony holds the worlds 2 most sold consoles.

as far as i know, nintendos wii is on third place.

  • People need to understand the groups associated with the consoles. The Wii is very compatible with younger children and people who only like to play casually. For older and more serious gamers, the PS3 and Xbox 360 are the more logical choices because they have the right kind of game selection. Nintendo will always be the first choice for children though, so why is this such a big issue? Some people like Pokemon/Mario/Zelda games and some people like certain FPS franchises. To each his own.

  • kinect innovates where playstation move has failed

  • @ThEwOtSiT182 kinect is shit...

  • @tyeh20 Says the guy who wants to wave a stick with a ball on it

  • @ThEwOtSiT182 says a boy that want to be a stick with a ball on it

  • yeah, now the wii owners get mad, cuz we have everything better now:

better motion control, better graphics, better games, better controllers and much more like multimedia captivitys (BluRay for example).

yyeeehaw, Nintendos ass has been kicked again - just like everytime ;)

    good work sony.

  • @0M9H4X Kicked Nintendo's ass?

how come Nintendo sold 70.9 million Wii units worldwide more than double the number of PS3's.

now that Ive pissed you off and just about every other SONY cock sucker(ps3 fanboy-fangirl) here

    Nintendo FTW!!

  • @seanMmaguire1:

haha, sony sold more than twice PS2s!

yes, more than 140 million units.

The PlayStation 2 is the most sold console of the world,

directly followed by the PS1! now say again nintendo rules.

sony holds the 2 best selling consoles in the world.

the 3rd place goes to the NES which is a quite decent console,

but the newer nintendos consoles the worse the sell.

    sony takes over biatch

  • @seanMmaguire1:

Nintendo aint a chance against that

  • @seanMmaguire1:

    haha 70.9 million?

    how cheap!

Sony sold over 140 million PS2s!

hahaha sony holds the 2 most sold consoles of the world.

fisrt place: PS2 second place: PS1

  • @0M9H4X why did you repeat yourself so many times?

so whats the PS2 got to do with whats going on now.

I see it as epic fail that the last console sold 140 million and the new console only sold around 30 something million.

now PS3 is ripping off Nintendo with a dildo ball, lame

    again Nintendo FTW.

  • @seanMmaguire1:

    ups.

sorry youtube always told me theres an error when i tried to post :/

anyways i dont like the PS3 either, no wonder it doesnt sell as good as mighty PS2.

but nintendo sucks most, cuz their problem is:

Nintendos games are awesome but their consoles are a piece of shit.

Sonys consoles are awesome but they dont have as many good games.

so what do i do? i play nintendo games on sony consoles.

best way to go. i played Wii at a friend - never been so dissapointed.

  • @0M9H4X ??????

  • @seanMmaguire1:

yeah thats what nintendo consoles cant do too.

    Sony can play Nintendo games.

    Nintendio cant play Sony games.

no excuse me i gotta play some Super Mario Bros on my PS2

  • I love bullshit like this

  • lawl, wii owners are sooo fail. Trying to take shots at the other consoles because not only do they have motion capability, but they also have better graphics, online play and a media value now. HAHAHA, wii owners, plz, continue making these videos. U guys are awesome!!

  • @nunocart everyone is allowed a opinion and I think Wii is better,

Kinect is awesome and Sony where kind of grovelling in the corner trying to regain a shred of dignity.

You probably haven't even got Motionplus anyway.

  • this is f###ing confusing

  • cool technology, but I seriously doubt it will last. I bet most people will be back to there controllers within a couple months.

  • playstation move is amazing! end of. anyone who has tried it can see and experience that its better than the wii. yes its the same concept as the wii so in that sense its copied it. But try telling me that nintendo haven't copied other companies!?!?!?! thats the way the world works. companies take the idea from someone else and improve on it. Without copying there wouldn't be any cars in the world!

  • actually nintendo WII Motion Plus beats the playstation move

  • @Chilesk8ter no i have both, just believe me move is better

  • @Chilesk8ter it's funny u say that when majority of all well known reviewers and consumers who used both have a different opinion than u

  • @heckteck everyone has a different opinion

  • @Chilesk8ter nop , playstation plus is by far more accurate abd it reapeats ur exact movements unlike pre programed movents that are in wii

  • lol all i have to do is provide this link /watch?v=FpNdkm9s8AY&feature=player_embedded will this determin how good kinect is ????

  • @ArifMRaquib do your homework dumbass, sony has copied from every game company at least once trophies, game concepts, and even control designs, they made a makeshift d-pad to avoid lawsuit in 1999.And wow very mature, you must be 7 years old, right back at ya d-bag.I've been to your channel and you don't seem to be the most liked,or brightest for that matter,on youtube. You really are the true example of a sony fanboy, you just roll with the companies decisions and shake of everything around you.

  • @pco222 whoa lets go way back

    for every1's sake atari-the stick,Nintendo-powerglove,-ps2 eye toy,Wii,ps3-move,xbox-kinect

  • @ArifMRaquib ummmm...ok that isn't really a valid response to my question but yes i do remember the eye toy, probably because i owned one, and all i remember about it was that it sucked, to be honest. One of the worst camera game's of its time in fact. Stop defending yourself too, i make one statement and the first thing you think of is to respond by saying that sony had a different motion system before nintendo. simmer down man. Also, have you even played any of those games with move?

  • @ArifMRaquib "Hardcore Gamers" is just another way of saying guys without a life.

  • @ArifMRaquib but people who play ps3 and/or xbox usually show remorse towards the wii's motion control especially for shooters which basically all the ps3 has,so what is there to be excited for if the motion controls for move are essentially a partial update of a system that's already been done. Not that i'm suprised about that,Sony copy's everyone and says they do it first all the time, but the wii is 4 years old what are they trying to prove. i don't understand why fans are excited, fanboys?

  • @ArifMRaquib but what about move's hardcore games?

  • Let the motion wars begin.

  • so fail

  • I don't understand whether this was against or for PS Move.

  • psssst, fire DID U SEE THAT?!?!

  • @ArifMRaquib well games are not rated on graphics alone we will see what sells more in fall kenect move or wii

  • shit

  • I've read some comments, and people are ignorant. They say that the move video was shot in 1999, but they fail to realize that that was footage for the eye toy, not for move. Sony never intended to make a notion controller. They started work on it once they saw the success of the wii among people. HD? If a game is bad, it'll still be bad in HD or in SD. Also, the navigation controller does not hqve motion sensors.

  • lol i love how you use the 3 crappest games coming out for move and prtotype footage from the ps2 days.

    your such a fanboy

  • haha that was great XD

the playstation move is really just another wii :/

if you are a fanboy, step awaaaaaaaaaay from the keyboard...

  • So.. Sony basically just saw the Wii and said "wow, why is this stupid thing selling more than us?", then they saw Xbox and then just said "screw it, let's just take stuff from both of 'em!"

    And Playstation Move was born

  • @xW31RD0x first of all sony was planning to make a motion controller befor nintendo but then they canselled the plan to see how well sony would sell then they descided to make the motion controllers agine then xbox herd of the all this racet and copyed them and made theres oh and xbox just got as kitty as the wii ever sence xbox project natel oh and sony had the 3d movement befor every consol hello the eye toy it came out for ps2 and you hade this pet and crap where you could scan ur own stuff

  • @platformed33 Exactly, they weren't making enough money, so they had to lower the price to get more customers, and even when that didn't work enough, they decided to make the move. Besides, tilting the controller forward and back isn't really the same as an infrared sensitive motion controller.

    `

Please try to use grammer and spelling next time BTW. It would help everyone.

  • @xW31RD0x lol people say i have no grammer what the hell is grammer and no am not in elementry ok am in 7th but i do type realy fast i think that is wat meses me up

  • @xW31RD0x

    The best of two worlds.

  • oh..oh my gosh.. oohh oh my gosh, i loled like .. like..oh my gosh

  • What the bloody hell was this?

  • they never learn

  • at least xbox didnt totally ripoff nintendo

  • @Agroupproductions how did play station rip off Nintendo the move was in production in 2003 and the wii came out 2006 so tell me who is copying who?

  • @MrWarlord13 well lets see, If move has taken since 2003 to make, and wii was released in 2006, Wii must have taken just AS long if not longer then move to create, and they have like almost simailar designs except for the fugly ass ball on the move. So yes in my opinion wii was ripped off by sony.

  • @Agroupproductions You do know the Wand demo was 2005, and the earliest form was demo'd in 2000, right? A year before work was supposed to have started on the Wii, and 6 years before its control scheme was showed off at E3.

  • @bobtheduck and i care why?? The wii took less time and in my opinion is a better product.

  • @Agroupproductions If it took less time to make either it has major and minor flaws or is made out of cheap material that should break down. The wii is the flaws case unlike sony nintendo rushes to get their product out first with new innovated technology unfortunatly that leaves space for error but Sony takes their time trying to get rid of those glitches and flaws.

  • @Zern227 Your very right, also I THINK that sony may have had to wait until the technology for 1-1 tracking came along.

  • @bobtheduck this was actually released before 2005 it was actually released 2003 and shot in 1999.

  • @MrWarlord13 Source on it being in development in 2003?

  • @Agroupproductions Avatars? xD

  • @ChazShinRa nunchuck?

  • @Agroupproductions I'm not sure if I replied to the right person :S

  • @Agroupproductions Oh wait no yeah I was replying to the "totally rip off".

  • @Agroupproductions Exactly.

  • RIPOFF"

  • A good example of how the Wii's low-end hardware makes its games suck is Dead Rising for the Wii

Instead of the hordes of zombies that you would nor mally see in the 360 version, there's just like 10 onscreen.

The point is anything that can be done on Wii, can be done better on the other two. I don't care how well it sells, the Wii's games get really boring after a while.

  • Comment removed

  • Have you noticed this is the third time Sony "borrowed" a controller idea from Nintendo? First the D-pad and face buttons of the SNES controller, then the N64 analog stick and now this.

  • natal is a eyetoy ripoff

  • "Playstation Move innovates where Nintendo has failed"

    what,? the graphics? thats it?

  • @Jezthevalley Hmm and the precision..ooo so much with the precision, the Wii FAILS at precision. And graphics, and blu-ray shall i go on?

  • @Kidfork

only reason i bought my wii is to play games like RE4 and Metroid prime, and ive never encountered any precision problem.

    graphics? i already said that

blu-ray? nintendo didn't say their console could play blue ray discs so it would be a common sense.

  • @Jezthevalley What do you mean you didn't encounter any precision problem?

Do you live in a 2d world? Wii only has 2d tracking, it's lacking an entire dimension in precision.

If that doesn't make much sense to you now, wait till you actually use the controller, I got a chance to try it out and its amazing.

  • @Jezthevalley Wii is really awful as far as motion contollers go.

It only picks up on whether or not you swung the remote, not how you swing it.

I mean it is REALLY bad.

With the PS3 motion controller you can actually control every single motion your character makes.

I've been waiting for something like this ever since Wii failed.

  • @TheSleazySaint oh yeah, ever heard of wii motion plus? :D

  • @Jezthevalley yes, and I have it.

It slightly improves the Wii's capabilities but it is still very imprecise and can't do much more than waggles when it comes to controlling a full game.

Playstation Move on the other hand, gives you every hand motion (and many body) without getting rid of the analogs so you can still move around (cough..Natal)

  • @TheSleazySaint

Yes. That probably has something to do with it being released 4 years before Move.

  • @EmperorFishFinger This isn't new technology.

This is just a combination of a bunch of speedometers and a camera.

The problem of Wii is they decided precision wasn't necessary so they stuck with a plain old duck hunt pointer.

PS3 on the other hand isn't 90% dedicated to the casual market, so they went with something better.

  • @TheSleazySaint Casual doesn't equal worse. Get that right you social reject.

Also calling the fastest selling home console in history "fail" shows your lack of intelligence.

  • @Youexposed1 And why doesn't it?

What is casual other than a dumbed down hardcore game?

Don't mistake sales with quality. I can tell you exactly why my parents bought a Wii. Because they're suckers. They would never have bought a PS3 or 360 because they don't know what the hell "online gaming " is but they definitely know what "motion controlled" means.

The graphics on the PS3 could like like PS2 for all I care, the games have much more depth, instead of "play for a day" typical Wii games.

  • @TheSleazySaint Again your lack of intelligence is showing. A casual game like brain age is a dumbed down version of a hardcore game you say?

And you SERIOUSLY think the lacking PS3 catalog is better than the PS2?? Get out of here. And Metroid Prime Trilogy is really play for a day huh??

  • @Youexposed1 Those games were great and nostalgic and all, but if you go back and play them today, you can see right through them. The Wii does best with what it has and occasionally has a good title, but PS3 games have consistently more replay value than Wii games. Here's why:

    1) Wii hardly has any open world games, and the ones that are...meh

    2) The online is crap, a total joke

    3) Its the same old crap from last gen with motion controls

  • @TheSleazySaint As "awful" as you say it is. MS and SONY are painfully losing market share trying to catch up.

  • @TheSleazySaint whhhhat are you talking about? have you played wii sports resort? the duel mode registers yourr motions perfectly. If you swing the remote from the top right down, it does it on screen. The new zelda that is coming out is the same way. Take your 7 year old ass back to 2nd grade and do your research you dumb fuck

  • I dont get this vid XD

  • omg.. that sony move thing is a huge copy of the wii ..omg

ps:i you r going to reply to me about eyetoy was the first motion control thing, let me prove you wrong ,nintendo had the power glove that was motion control right,

and the wii had bin in the works for over ten years now ,before the sony move.

  • You're retarded. The Playstation Move is just an additional peripheral, they didn't base the whole system around it. And it's a hell of a lot less gimmicky than the Wii, as it can be used for actual precise, skill-based games instead of waggle party games.

  • your tears sustain me.

  • @LgndryThndr has the right idea

  • @metalsonic66

    They're certainly acting like it.

And from what I've seen its just as useless if not more.

this is simply sony trying to see if it can make some quick cash of the casuals as nintendo has.

    you've got nothing to celebrate.

  • @LgndryThndr

Except the Move is aimed more at hardcore gamers than the Wii, DS, or Natal combined.

  • @metalsonic66

....pffa ha ha ha....OH WAIT, YOU WERE SERIOUS? LET ME LAUGH HARDER

HA HA HA HA HA HA HA

  • @LgndryThndr Okay fanboy

  • @metalsonic66

Implying I give a fuck about consoles

    Glorious PC master race.
