  • If you ever go into the new tesco in kildare town with this exact outfit tractor, baler and massey in a massive picture on the wall as you go in the door,i know your from kildare so....

  • Hi,

    Just super great video!

greetings with love from Germany / (bayern down)

Max, who is enthusiastic Massey Ferguson fan.

  • we started in 89 with the welger rp 12 and a tanco autowrap.alot o bales since then.welger 235 now and mchale 991 b

  • I still own a welger rp12 normally does 20 bales an hour. The most I ever made in an hour was 40 bales.

  • Love the ford great tractor. did loads of silage and hay making with one of them.Much better than todays computer driven Tractors.

  • Well they were good machines in their time, but they are outdated now. I mean back then you were lucky if you got 200 bales done in a day. Nowadays we do 450 - 500 average. Technology has its advantages, although there is a smile factor that you get from these classic machines that modern tractors can't recreate.

  • The old MF are the best tractors

that has MASSEY FERGUSON ever build!!!

    We still have Mf 168

    Mf 188 4x4

    Mf 294-AS (4x4)

  • Love the vid, old masseys never die!!! we still have an rp12s, pumped out 200 bales last year behind an old 390, always wanted a 188 though, had a 168 and 185, used to use an old neighbours 188 with the multi power 20 years ago as a goson , it was a monster compared to my fathers 135!!!

  • back to the good old days! we started 91 with a 272 leyland & claas 44S IH 885XL volac wrapper 500 mill rolls no cut&tie.

    by 93 claas 46 & 1164 county & a proper wrapper. 200 bales was a real days work :)

  • 200 was a good day alright, and you would count yourself lucky if you didnt get blocked up more than 10 times, and if the stub axels on the 188 stayed in one peice!

  • that 7600 be worth more today if its still alive.

    we were using a claas 46 & 1164 county in 93

the fusion of today,s a bit quicker :)

  • 188 doing ok as loader tractor.

  • Yea it did the trick for a year or two, but she was a bit old for contracting, plus the amount of stub axles and wheel bearings it went through was unreal. Still going strong though, drew in silage with it last year!

  • Fair play to you foxman! That is absolutely savage to see! How far the machinery has come on in a decade or so! Is that field at the back of con's house?

  • No its at the back of my uncles house beside my fathers workshop

  • i find it amazing, that type of tractor is only used for scraping these days, not as the main tractor

  • The 7600 the 565 or the 188. In fairness the 188 wasnt too far away from a scraper tractor at that time either, as you can see!
