  • let's remember what happened back in 1956 how the soviets just came in hungary and tried to make it communist

  • I'm Hungary for Turkey without any Greece. Israel good and Iran for it.

  • 1953

Mr. Rakosi's cabinet was "predominantly Jewish"; Time magazine of New York spoke of "the strongly Jewish (90 percent in the top echelons) government of Communist Premier Matyas Rakosi, who is himself a Jew". In Hungary, as in the other communized countries, the specific attack on Christianity began at once with the imprisonment of high ecclesiastics. The case which attracted most attention in the outer world was that of the Hungarian Cardinal Mindszenty,

  • Hungarian fascists!

  • A nagyapám a T-55 összetört, a magyar felkelés.

  • @zvezda1987kz

If your grandfather would be brave enough, he would get off that T-55. And you are from Kazahstan? Traitor.

  • Nagyapám elnyomott lázadás ott a T-55.

     Dicsőség a szovjet hadsereg.

  • Respect to Hungary! We can`t help You because We also was fucked. What`s a pity.... Beat the Bolshevik from Poland.

  • Correctly that have entered armies, nazis shouldn't again will return to the power

    Ezernyi áldozat most sírjából felmutat,

Gyilkos és áruló szent földben nem nyughat!

  • Neveket akarok hallani, én nem tudok megbocsájtani,

A hosszú börtön évekért, a porba hulló könnyekért.

    Ezernyi áldozat most sírjából felmutat,

    A sok évnyi kegyetlen megtorlásért?!

    A halálra ítéltek utolsó szavait?

  • @CrossVenusRoad

    Kárpátia- Neveket akarok hallani

  • @altajstern, thank you

  • @CrossVenusRoad Broother nation we will allways suport your Nation whit loove The enemy is allways Russia

  • POLAND and HUNGARY brothers in arms and in fight with the communists.

We mustn't stop remembering about our loses; before, during and after WW2 because we must let the world know of our heroics and acts to destroy the damn communists.

  • 1956 október 23. - never forget

greetings from Poland to Hungarian brothers

  • Nobody helped us, neither Europe America. But Poland sent medicines, blood and everything with what he was able to support us.

Polish - Hungarian brothership for ever!

  • Hungary sufered great loses!!!!

  • Nice, beautiful, revolution against communist regime.

But I have nevert heard anything about any such hungarian uprising against Horthy fascist regime during WWII, brutal regime that took part in occupation of other countries, including my country, and regime responsible for hundreds of thowsands of killed people by hungarian nazis.

If that revolution ever happened I would beleive in great hungarian heroism, but like this, sorry ...

  • @TheDavor1000

Sorry, but Horthy didn't have a fascict regime, he tried to avoid war. Read a bit more about it.

  • @TheDavor1000

Anyway, Horthy was the one, who saved the Jews in Budapest with his "fascist regime" on 6th July 1944.

  • @altajstern

    1953

Mr. Rakosi's cabinet was "predominantly Jewish"; Time magazine of New York spoke of "the strongly Jewish (90 percent in the top echelons) government of Communist Premier Matyas Rakosi, who is himself a Jew". The case which attracted most attention in the outer world was that of the Hungarian Cardinal Mindszenty

  • @TheDavor1000 Horthy wasn't fascist.

He arrested Szálasy Ferenc(who was the head of hungarian fascist)

and he didn't allow Hitler when Hitler wanted to kidnap hungarian jude in Budapest(this is why so many hungarian jude live in Budapet.)

+Hungary was the last state in Central-europe who became fascist government.

and Horthy didn't want to enter in WWII.

  • when the neigbouring countries slovakia, romania burning jews Horthy don't gave out them to the germans.

  • @TheDavor1000

You live in Australia...if you're a MAN then say what country are you from, don't hide behind empty words! Anyway, I believe that you lost your mind talking about "Hungarian nazis" killing "hundreds of thousands" of your imaginary people...You're a genetical Hungarian-hater, it's built in your DNA to hate Hungarians that why they talk about trillions of innocent people killed by Hungarians; YOUR country is the only innocent one of course that's why you commented this video!

  • @TheDavor1000

That's because Horthy's regime wasn't fascist and didn't occupy any foreign countries, just pieces of OUR country that was taken away unjustly in 1920. It was exactly Horthy who saved the Jews before the German invasion came in 1944...

  • @TheDavor1000 its called not licking jews butt

  • @TheDavor1000 Hungary saved the world in WW2. The Sovietunion demanded unconditional surrender and immidiate switch of sides from Hungary. If that would of happened, the red army would of just walked trough Hungary without any resistance, that way the soviets would of been able to go a lot deeper into todays western europe. The so called iron curtain would of been somewhere in France, and the cold war would of had a different outcome, and about 80% of europe would be still communist. Your welcom

  • @TheDavor1000

No need to believe in it! I'm Hungarian, but not Nazi. I'm right proud of my ancestors. I wish you a nice long history in Australia as well as Hungarian. A little behind, but it flew a thousand years of history.

  • @TheDavor1000

    1. We killed noone.

    2. That was not a regime. It was elected, after the anticommunist white revolution.

    3. We occupied noone during the WW2.

    4. We are not responsible for death of millions because they simply dont died, the holoshit is only a ridicilous myth without any material proof. Anyway how we could know what the germans did, it was a top secret thing in those times.

    5. Dont blame us, while you know nothing about us.

    6. Stop watching only one side of that coin and learn...

  • @Veszett01 Dont forget that Hungary was first fashist state in Europa Hungarish army was crushed on Don(you kill noon and occupied noon?) river Instead of kommunist dictatorship in Hungary will be not democracy but fashist(salashist)dictatorship and white terror 20000 hungarish SSman came from Austria and they not student fight in november

  • @kent684

First what? Hungary had hungarist party only in 45. The war with commies was only the question of time, if we dont attack, they do it. The second part I dont understand, sorry!

  • FUCK RUSSANS

  • I went to Budapest a few weeks ago and I thought it was the loveliest city ever, when I saw all the memorials to the heroes of 1956 it made me so sad...

    Respect to Hungary!

    All brave, Hungarian heroes of '56 - R.I.P. [*]

  • ATTENTION!

For the future, please idiots, who don't know history, fanatics, communists let me slide! I like talking and arguing with persons, who have mind, and not totally blind, they are welcome here. But, please, people under 0 IQ let me slide!

    Thank you!

  • Magyar language is great for music..

  • Well, WW1 started by Austro-Hungarian Empire. Russian people didn't feel like worth dying in the war their Czar wanted to participate. So, they decided to break off and get rid of Monarchy in their country. Lenin rose as a liberator from the Monarchy, communism was created. So, everyone, say "Thank you Hungary" for creating a stupid war over some assassination that killed millions of people and created communism. Why do we let some 16 year olds argue history they have no clue about.

  • Please,Nevi, don't write your bullshits here, there are people here! WW1 wasn't our fault, every human, who look only a bit after it, and have a small brain, know it. Please, don't make opinion about something you don't know. you better do, if you write your stupid broadside just to me, because in that case just I'll think that you are totally idiot, not everyone.

  • Second part:

You judge everything, but you know nothing, you don't know people, you don't know history. You said that you didn't watch my stupid video, and you stopped reading the articles I've sent. You are blind, and you don't want to see. I can't help you.

  • Dear Nevi,

Sorry for my wrong English, but my country didn't steal enough from other nations to make public abundance, so, opposite you, we can't afford send the last goofs, like you living in the USA. And please tell me, what's the connection between knowing History and speaking English language well? And don't be so arrogant, you wrote me that "you are week", which means, we are seven days. That's a metaphora, buddy, or you just can't write?

  • @nevzletnoegosydarst

Well, buddy. You can get to Hungary over their cousins' and their other EU allies' dead body.

I suggest you learn some statistics about corruption in Russia before barking at a Hungarian. As what comes to English skills, care to tell us something in Hungarian or Finnish?

It is clear you have no actual sense of history, and you've prolly learned it in Russian or Yank school. Former distort it on purpose, latter are just ignorant when it comes to European history.

  • @nevzletnoegosydarst Hy! sorry but russians are occupied HUNGARY!!!!!!!!!!

  • @nevzletnoegosydarst

you are a wanker and your english is not better than others so you'd better to keep your mouth close. I reckon you are some of an uneducated toddler who doesn't even know the world map, history and culture. but so be it your problem.

  • @nevzletnoegosydarst Well, WW1 started with the molotov-ribbentropp pact, where the soviets and the germans divided europe into two parts. S.U. was as guilty as Germany and the small nations were victims.

  • The Russians are coming!!!

    (hide your women!)

  • Ajpw you are very "funny".

  • You think? Thanks...cos I wasnt trying to be.

  • sad that soviet troops killed only few of CIA-paid counter-revolutionists

they should send all them in Siberia to work! Or at uranium mines lol

  • @Scoutrussp7 Do you really believe what you write? You can not be that stupid. The soviet union destroyed many lives in many nations.

But most of the people died in Siberia at work were russians...so you can be really proud.

  • ...In the light of political ignorance and a historical amnesia of separate heads of the western states at once we will note: considered events of the newest European history have reached the culmination in the end of October – the beginning of November, 1956 in the form of attempt of the armed rebellion suppressed during peace-making operation with participation of the Soviet armies.

  • ...Who as well as where it prepared who appears today in a light image of the fighter for independence of Hungary what were the purposes and problems of participants of mutiny why they have suffered defeat – these and other questions get a special urgency for potential victims of "colour revolutions»...

  • @zagyex

from site of russian ministry of defence:

The Hungarian armed nazi rebellion of October, 1956, undoubtedly, not spontaneous performance of the fascists not finished on Balaton, but the culmination of carefully preparing plot...

  • the russians would crush the world thats why everyone wanted to be their ally@

  • Well, proudtobeukrainian, I don't want to be their ally.

  • Cousin,i wanna learn who sing this song..may u reply me i wanna listen this man's other songs

  • @TurkoTartarian, this is a group, called Kárpátia, they have several good songs, I can translate it into English, if you wish.

  • Cousin if u do this i'll pray for u :) They are really great !!!

  • Russian army is now very average, 2 / 3 of men do not want to serve in army, the economy is nothing of itself does not represent

  • Ukran tovaris!

    Russian are my friends!

  • Habár magyarország elvesztette a szabadságáért vívott harcot de volt bennünk anyi bátorság h lépni metjünk.

  • Greetings from Turkiye to cousin Hungary and friend Poland...We cry for Hungarian and Polish fallens for free Hungary and Poland...

But we know this our Hero Magyars;Arpad's nation never can be killed !!!

    Long live free Magyarorstag !!!

  • Um... If you are suggesting you are one of the NWO foilhats, I am sorry, I do not subscribe to that conspiracy theory. Bad people are greedy, enjoy power, and it does not take a specific religion or 'race' or a secret society to be shitty to your weaker neighbour.

All I wanted to say is I am proud of my cousins for at least trying to stand up against oppression. Let's leave it at that.

Please read Jennifer Government if not already. You might find it amusing. Wiki if unfamiliar. Fnord.

  • Ok, I respect your opinion, but I still think there are lots of things in the background we can't see.

  • Greetings from Poland to Hungary. My Mum was young nurse in warsaws hospital during your Uprising '56. She told me that almost hole November she's collected blood for your insurgents. When I think about our brotherhood it is realy true 'cause it is sealed by blood.

  • Sorry, cousins, I forgot to light a candle on the 4th day as I was in a crisis myself having just been fired. But I'll remember the 14th day when the last freedom fighters were crushed :(

One can crush armed resistance, but never a man's or woman's or child's dream of freedom, nor stifle the hate for injustice and oppression within.

  • Very nice video and well done with music. Just a couple of corrections: The US could not help without the UN backing. The world is full of the suffering and none of them get justice either. Don't be bitter, in the end, we won. Now, preserve it's freedom, don't give it away like so many here currently in the USA.

  • I am Hungarian and enough beautiful one this video.I would like to congratulate his maker, that shows the world our suffering.És I would like to say thanks for it in the Hungarian folk's name.

  • Comment removed

  • You're an idiot.

  • You don't want to remember how you kept Ukraine in captivity, how you in-slaved people over there, killed thousands. Go study your own history. Do you have your freedom now or live below poverty level.....???

  • I don't know what you want to say exactly. We don't have our freedom now, if it makes you feel better. Why did you remove your previous comment?

  • I want to say I feel sympathetic for Hungarians for the just uprising against tyranny, nothing more, nothing less. Sure, you have your freedom now. Which is a good thing.

I don't remember why I removed a previous comment. Probably just because it was not expressed as clearly as I wished. Trying to usually avoid misunderstandings in delicate matters. And as I had just got sacked, so I was prolly a bit off my rocker.

  • Oops. Misread. My bad. You say you DON'T have freedom now as a sovereign state? How is this compared to Soviet puppet rule? Do you perhaps mean you are anti-EU? Or the dastardly Trianon that took most of Hungary away?

We have our EU-critisers as well. As for me, I tend to keep a neutral view on both the good and the bad. In any case, peace, mon. Good ganja in Hungary I hear.

  • Because there is no reason to argue with a young person. You aren't free now and never will be. if you had some control during communism, it is nothing comapre to now a days. Rich people will make more slaves out of you, will keep your salaries low, and make sure you work for them. Communism was bad, but at least everybody was educated, had a place to live and enough of food to eat. Half of Hungary is hungry and homeless right now. So what else can you say?

  • Dear nevzletnoegosydarst, First, you still didn't tell what we did in Ukraine. Second, thanks for the communism, Hungary has an enormous public debt, and now we live in hunger, and poorness because of the communist idiots. And finally, you should think about the 'wonderful' things, what communists, most time russians did. For example, with our relatives, in Kazahstan, or in Turkmenistan, Kirgizistan etc., or with the Finnish, Afgans and so on.

  • Second part: And what are you doing now, how are you playing with Ukraine (gas argument, 2009) nowadays. And nota bene: you reach everything, what you have reached just because theres lots of russians. Not because you're doing everything so good. Go and look around home.

  • Communsim Capitalism two sides of same coin

  • Exactly.

  • @nevzletnoegosydarst You are not right. The average quality of life in Hungary is much higher than in Russia. I say average. And it always was... Russia can achieve great things (space travel, etc) because it is big, but there are many poor people there. And compare the quality of life in Sweden, Norway or Finland to the Russian. So you cannot say communism was better.

  • @nevzletnoegosydarst

At the same time capitalism has downsides, it is true. But in hungary the problem is that the people who were in good positions during the soviet influence, became bussinessman, and stole everything they can, and sold it to western companies.

  • i am half hungarian with the name ruszkai , sadly my grandad died a few years ago . he never talked about living in hungary now i guess i know why

  • respect to Hungary.

  • Just read a novel Puhdistus (Purge) by Sofi Oksanen, a half Finnish, half Estonian author who won the Finlandia prize (wiki for her). It hit me really hard actually having a personal viewpoint to the horrors of all this shit. I hope it will eventually be translated to English for all the world to see what our people have had to suffer.

As for the common Hungarian joke I would retort the tough guys went to north and didn't give shit about who's being able to read.

  • Ok, in English, as I can't speak Hungarian. We are wondering here with ArabiApina about Nagy, defecting to Soviets in late WW1 and joining the communist party, really acted as he did. He was one in the firing squad to murder Romanov family. That is confirmed. But some sources say he refused to take part in murdering innocent children and nearly got shot himself. What do Hungarian sources say?

  • And for the sake of fairness, if any Russian reads this, could you please tell us how your history writes it. If you even know WTF Nagy is?

  • And to correct myself a bit, there is no proof I could verify that Nagy WAS in the firing squad in the first place. So if that legend is false, then the legend of him refusing to shoot is false, too. To be precise, only thing confirmed is that he did end up as POW in WW1 and defected to Russkies. For a while.

  • Great video. i really admire the courage and patriotism of the freedom fighters

  • My salutes to Hungarian people!

  • thank you

  • I wish Hungarians had secceeded... Communism has to be destroyed... Regards from Slovakia

  • Thank you.

  • Fuck the USSR and Fuck Russia too!

    -blood 'sticks' on their hands,

    -They shall not expect mercy,

-years of imprisonment, nem pedig prison,

-For the tears dropping on the ground

  • Ahum... Hiya buddy. What you're trying to say? I think all the translations (including mine) have conveyed the message well enough. Poetry or lyrics cannot be translated literally.

For example there is no such expression in English as blood sticking on hands. The equivalent is "blood on their hands".

But thank you for the interesting details anyway. I don't know but a few words of Hungarian, and rather used altajsterns work as a basis and tried to make it more poetic.

  • I live in the US, and once I heard this exact phrase "blood sticking on their hands". If it's not correct, that's fine.

  • Well, Magyarvitez, it might be an US English expression then. Euros usually are more familiar with Brit English. Then again it might just be a more rare expression I haven't heard. I stand corrected.

In any case my intention was not to challenge you. I was just curious, as always.

  • Amúgy a "their hands are stained with blood" kifejezést szótárban találtam.

Its good theres no cold war going on anymore... And its good that old soviet satellites are free.

  • Yes; It is so unfortunate, and it is directly because Hungary is a stongly Catholic Nation, and God bless them for that-

And secularism and socialism now has a Capitalist face, but it is the same old story-

    God bless the Hungarian People-

  • Szia Poitre. Please do not spread your religion here. The fight for Hungarian freedom had nothing to do with religion. Freedom has many faces, and one of them is being free from religion.

FYI, I am secular and liberal. If you wish to talk more, private, please.

  • Respect your writing.

Sorry for all this finnish, im too lazy to speak english if im answering to joonavainio. If you really really much want to know what i answered, please ask for it.

  • Jaa, ooksä... oops. Have you lived during the cold war, Apina? Back then actually having a satellite state was a strategic advantage. So I would say they were very much intent on keeping Hungary in their sphere of influence.

Nowadays it doesn't matter so much as missiles fly quite well across the globe unlike then.

And yeah, I don't like Yanks backing up on their promise either. Mutta rauhaa vaan, myös apinoille. Taian vetää apinakännit ku o lauantai ja sillee :)

  • Well, it wasnt life and death thing for soviets.. But ofcourse satellite states were useful, not necessary. ( Turk, Cuba) Are good examples. Its expencive to make missiles than can fly very far, so soviets and yanks had their satellites..

    Mulla murtu just lätkäpelissä solisluu..

  • Hi again, Apina. There is one point you miss. You forget nations tend to do shit that is convenient. And convenient is not always rational let alone moral.

I am not trying to tell you what is right and what is not. But the fact is that an ICBM costs way less than a bomber with all crew and equipment involved.

I am sorry to hear you broke your collarbone. Hope it heals soon. It is a minor injury, after all.

  • :S Damn USA not helping hungary...

    Greetings from Finland ;)

  • Moi apina. If USA had helped Hungary then, unfortunately that would have meant global nuclear war. Ja sit ei ois kellään enää kivaa :(

Times were what they were then. Nowadays if Russians tried to pull a stunt like that... well, they just couldn't. Cos they are dependent on global economy and the west. No matter what the nashi say.

  • Oh, right.. just came in my mind, west needs Russia as much as they need us.

And its good, there wont come so bad conflicts now.

  • Okay. Here is something from your cousin. I reworked my Finnish lyrics a bit. Although we went separate ways thousands of years ago (you pussies can't stand a bit of cold ;) some words are still barely recognisable. Like that one line. Käsi and veri are so old words they have staid roughly the same.

    Szia! (Moi in Finnish)

  • Herätkää, kertokaa, nimetkää teurastajat vuoden viiskytkuus Jotka tänne tulivat ja tuomitsi meidän kansamme nousun Sillä synti on syntiä Käsis on verta vaan Sääli on sairautta Kuule meitä ja jumalaa Tuhannet uhrit saa Ne katsoo tulevaa Petturia, murhaajaa Emme maatamme jaa
  • Herätkää, kertokaa, nimetkää

    Ei armoa enää ensinkään

    Ne kaikki vuodet linnassa

    Ne kaikki vuodet pannassa

  • Ok, only stupid person believe that Communism can ever come into existence. Humans always be humans. Communism can't exist.

  • I wrote my last comment to Joonavainio.
