Big govt spending to increase aggregate demand is the keynesian way. We are, like you say, a corporatist nation that needs to find its way back to capitalism. Trouble is, you borrowed too much, you wasted it on things that don't generate revenue and you'll never be able to repay it. You'll be paying close to $500 billion this year on interest and debt servicing alone and it's only going to get worse from now on.

Ron Paul is only one of the few Republicans in favor to cut Military spending compared to the vast majority of the Democrats on this issue.
