I absolutely love this movie. It has the best comedic timing of any film I've seen. I wish I could find the scene where the main character (at least I think it was the main guy) says "Jesus fucking Christ" just as the priest walks up next to him. I've never laughed harder at a movie.

I think there should be a few rules about remaking movies. One would be wait a few decades before you do it not three freaking years. Another would be don't make it practically identicalseriously the new version has all the same jokes and in Alot of parts the same lines

The Americans remade the English version because they seem to lack the intellectual ability to understand British humour, the argument is not about race, the Brits (me included) are getting a bit tired of the Yanks stealing good ideas from us, throwing some glitter on it then calling it theirs. I just watched the trailer for the American version, found it amusing, and then was very disappointed to discover it was a remake. I am incredibly sick of remakes and retreads of stories that have already been told. There is a tremendous dearth of creativity in American filmmaking. For Christ's sake, we nominated a creatively vacuous film like "Avatar" for Best Picture. It's outrageously depressing.

this movie was amazing. but the new one basically took the original script and changed ten lines and added five of its own. that's the only difference in scripts that i've seen so far based on the trailers of the new one. nearly every line out of the new trailer was taken directly from the original. even the font used was the same. chris rock needs to stick to acting and stand up, and stop writing.

That said, I will see the new one, but only for Tracy Morgan.
