This is cruel. Bunnies should NEVER be soaked with water. They will get sick very easily. I only give my bunny a "bath" when there us pee stained on her or of there's dirt that cannot be removed. And even then I only put in an inch at the MOST and gently dampen the area. You should be ashamed for doing this to your bunny

yes you can give your bunny a bath ...they make special shampoo that I got from the vet. As someone said earlier ... we had a lion head who had trouble keeping her poo out of her fur and the vet told us to wash her. You towel dry them really good and then I would let her run all over the house and air dry. Not her favorite thing but not bad.
Step 1: what you will need is, 1 litter box, 1 pack of litter/bedding (NOT HAY!), 1 young bunny, some hay (for a treat). Step 2: first put the bedding or litter in the litter box.
Step 3: put all of the "droppings" that you find, into the litter box.
Step 4: once your rabbit starts using the litter box put some hay into the litter box to reward him (or give him a treat every single time he/she uses it).
@beest921 this is completely fine. you just need to be as acreful as possible(not saying that you weren't) because they have a special oil in they're coats. this is just a warning for the future watchers

I'm so jealous. Every time i try to give my bunny a bath, she freaks out no matter what and i have to constantly calm her down. Makes sense though because my bunny always freaks out at the slightest movement of things. I don't know why she does that and she hates it when someone carries her. Actrually bunnies aren't suppose to be bath. They groom themselfs and when they are dirty somewhere you should clean that spot only. Your bunny really didn't like it you just didn't know.
When it is sommer, we put the bottom of the cage on the balcony and fill it with a little bit of water. My bunny loves to jump in! It's doing it at its own will ^^

This is NOT the way you was your rabbit! This is incredibly bad for them and puts them under a tremendous amount of stress. Rabbits can have a heart attack and die when put under this much stress. They're incredibly delicate and if they ever need to be cleaned then you should use specially made whipes/ dry shampoo to get the dirt out of their fur.
@Scazilchii umm.....this rabbit obviously was not under tremendous stress. I think if the rabbit was it would of tryed and gotten itself outta the situation. My rabbit does this too! he loves baths. No reason to freak out unless the person is hurting the rabbit with they obviously are NOT doing

I had a bunny that i loved... she was a white dwarf rabbit with gorgeous blue eyes and i would hold her for hours and she would stay in my arms all warm and sleepy... but i gave her up for adoption cause i never realized that rabbits pooped so much and my house was small so her cage had to be in my room and it stank too much all the time even after i cleaned it. Now someone else is taking care of her and can give her the space and companionship that she needs =3
Wow! They actually say not to give them baths in like a tub/sink etc. but yours seemed to do fine! Just if it seems to start to lay there all still don;t bathe him anymore (When they do that it means they are really scared something can happen I forget though lol) p.s A fun thing for a bunny is to get a box (like 1 foot tall with all four sides) and fill it with dirty/sand and let them dig in it! Messy but fun. :) My rabbit loves it. ♥ God bless!

I'm so jealous. Every time i try to give my bunny a bath, she freaks out no matter what and i have to constantly calm her down. Makes sense though because my bunny always freaks out at the slightest movement of things. I don't know why she does that and she hates it when someone carries her. The guy did tell me she had a bit of a problem before he sold it to me..

Hate to tell u but u shouldn't actually need to bath ur rabbit, ever bathed a cat? Both r similar in that they clean themselves and very rarely need if ever to have a bath, in some cases it can actually harm them getting such a soaking.

@herm0nie Use A SPEACIL Rabbit Shampoo , It Can Be Spray Shampoo or Even Powder Shampoo But Dont Ever use Anything Other Than RABBIT Shampoo for A RABBIT . Otherwise Their Hair Might Fall Out Or Worse Things Could Happen.

@PlayfulWolfPup and vomut86 ---- I really don't know what breed Petie is, my wife got Petie and another rabbit named "Heff" at a garage sale about 3 years ago. Heff died a month later so now Petie lives in the guest bedroom!

Actrually bunnies aren't suppose to be bath. They groom themselfs and when they are dirty somewhere you should clean that spot only. Your bunny really didn't like it you just didn't know.

When it is sommer, we put the bottom of the cage on the balcony and fill it with a little bit of water. My bunny loves to jump in! It's doing it at its own will ^^

This is NOT the way you was your rabbit! This is incredibly bad for them and puts them under a tremendous amount of stress. Rabbits can have a heart attack and die when put under this much stress. They're incredibly delicate and if they ever need to be cleaned then you should use specially made whipes/ dry shampoo to get the dirt out of their fur.

@Scazilchii umm.....this rabbit obviously was not under tremendous stress. I think if the rabbit was it would of tryed and gotten itself outta the situation. My rabbit does this too! he loves baths. No reason to freak out unless the person is hurting the rabbit with they obviously are NOT doing

I had a bunny that i loved... she was a white dwarf rabbit with gorgeous blue eyes and i would hold her for hours and she would stay in my arms all warm and sleepy... but i gave her up for adoption cause i never realized that rabbits pooped so much and my house was small so her cage had to be in my room and it stank too much all the time even after i cleaned it. Now someone else is taking care of her and can give her the space and companionship that she needs =3

Wow! They actually say not to give them baths in like a tub/sink etc. but yours seemed to do fine! Just if it seems to start to lay there all still don;t bathe him anymore (When they do that it means they are really scared something can happen I forget though lol) p.s A fun thing for a bunny is to get a box (like 1 foot tall with all four sides) and fill it with dirty/sand and let them dig in it! Messy but fun. :) My rabbit loves it. ♥ God bless!
