the lower air dam is not unique to the R-model. All 2005-2006 XK's had that air dam and revised rear bumper.

Gorgeous car with a crap convertible top! You might think, since they match the veneers, that they would put in a better boot for the convertible top, or better yet, a hardtop convertible!!

Jason. It's a very smooth driving car. Not particulary the loudest (this being the XK8 mind you) and with my Dad's example having over 93000 km unfortunately it isn't a car you can give a good thrashing like a Porsche for example. It is a very comfortable ride and is a great cruiser. It has such classic lines and a body resembling that of an E-Type. Seeing these in person really enhances the appreciation. It's very easy to get to high speeds in this car - very quick and turns a lot of heads.

I owned a 2003 xk8 conv. I wouldn't buy a XK unless it was 2000 or newer. the 97-99 has serious engine issues. Look it up.

A pure English thoroughbread! I used to live in Coventry in the UK and saw Jags on test runs every day of the week. I would chose this car over the 650i any day.

One of the most beautiful cars in automotive history, I would argue. I rented an XK8 on vacation in California a while back and it was everything you could ever want in a car - very fast, very refined, very luxurious, and as for that shape!!!! When you sit in that cabin, you almost feel like you're back in the womb! It is one nice place to be! This one here is really mint. Thanks for posting such a comprehensive review.

Why would you import a car from US when Canadian dollar is 80 cents US ??? Import it when Canadian dollar is 90+ cents US so then it becomes a lot cheaper...
