@crusemaster502, to be honest.. Building up the 2.5 will not make any power increases. Change the motor. And the Auto on the 2.5.. will not take anymore power. Change the transmission. 2 things I know well from offroading a 2.5L.. It's a great little trail engine.. but if you wanna go fast.. look elsewhere.
If the chute was in the middle it would be in the way of the push bar. When the jeep is ready to make a run the chute attachment line attaches to the towbar ring, which is located on the centerline of the truck below the tailgate.
i got a 86 comanche 2wd 2.5l auto that i have been thinking about doing up you got any ideas for me

i kinda forgot the specs of it. i know at the time, it was running Brodix heads and thats it.
it ran a 170mph at Bonneville.
