Hmm. I love violins, but I'd really like to hear this song with more vocal and less instrumental. Or maybe just read the lyrics. I can't tell at all what the 'story' is about. I know its just my old ears, but I'd still like to hear it.
@HiWayLady49 It's basically a faerie-themed version of 'The Devil Came Down to Georgia' - He is telling how he escaped Faeryland by playing the fiddle better than the Faerie Queen. So of course it's going to be heavy on the instrumental, as it's a song about the music itself. It's probably the sound quality more than your 'old ears' making it hard to hear the lyrics clearly.
if he was singing "faerie queen" then yes i'd agree but he wasnt he was singing this. and ive heard girls trying to sing it.. it doesnt sound right. the tone is "off" its setup for a male singing voice.
Wow! Very good fiddling! I like the variation on Fanfare For the Common Man. But I too would like to hear the words more clearly.
