What race are Iraqis? Are they mixed? I thought Iraqis are mostly Arabic looking people, but some of these Iraqis look mixed with African ancestors?

Yeah. I've actually never seen any Arabs outside Yemen and Egypt (and the gulf) that look like that, but they're often mixed. Taking a closer look at them, especially H, and you can tell that they're half of something else. Iraqis look Arab, but they're "white looking" Arabs as far as I know. Something like a cross between Russian and Bedouin.

The southern parts of the country, particularly the city of Basra, are home to over a million people of African descent....not sure where russian is coming into this...the ethnic mixture of contemporary iraq is largely tribes from arabia, east africa, and kurdistan

I actually know a bit about the influx trends of Africans to Arabia, and that's one of 2 theories. I just didn't know that a sizable amount were present in Iraq. Although upon review, I see 9% are E1b1b1 Africans. But the set of traits carried by them are recessive (Greece for example, is 30% E1b1b1 African, but they're white)- their appearance probably means Iraqis didn't mix with the migrants/slaves like most other Arabs eventually did, keeping them "black" looking.

While here in the US, race is the point of differentiation between peoples, in Africa and in the "Middle East" what differentiates people is religion and tribe. But i know what u mean by your question...you cannot speak of an "Iraqi" as whole, for different groups have different histories but speaking in general, the country is composed primarily of arabian, east african, and kurdish peoples, as well as persian and turkish

Yes the White racism against Black people in America is well documented in history books and TV, but Iraq has its own unique history, so Im wondering whats the history of racism in Iraq? Is there such a thing as "racism" in Iraq? If so what kind of racism is it? And what is Islamic opinion regarding "racism"?

I can't speak for Iraqi's but in Islam there is no racism. As a matter of fact even nationalism is a sin. Not to say that those who claim to be Muslims are not human and as humans one of our major problems is hating each other over our differences.

The first Muslim Muezzin was a Black man freed from slavery by Abu Bakr. His name was Bilal ibn Ribah, he is honored by every Muslim.

I think this is rather good. Rap has a bit of a bad rep because a lot of what is heard in mainstream rap these days is disrespectful and glorifies criminality. These guys rap about respect for women, as opposed to rapping about banging bitches, and the first rapper interviewed graduated and wants to study medicine!
