I read somewhere that 7-11 was performed live only once by the Ramones on July 4, 1981 at Club Casino in Hampton Beach, NH...i really would love to know if this is true or is someone pulling my leg...

I love Pleasant Dreams as well. The first three Ramones albums are timeless but I think the Phil Spector/Beach Boys-esque era (End Of The Century & Pleasant Dreams really) are just as good, in a different way. Still punk to me, just mixed more with classic surf music and doo wop. This does have some great pastiche lyrics - "the kids were dancing to the blitzkrieg bop, bop shoo-wop doo-wop doo-wop" and "she was standing by the space invaders, so I said can I see you later" RIP Joey

I think that this Album has to be one of the most important ones that ramones have ever done. The lyrics of each song are quite profund and nice(This song is a clear example of it).

Also They were trying to play a new music although Jonnhy Ramone once said that he din'd like this album because the music was likely to be pop instead of rock.

I checked Google, I have no idea why it says "was" on most sites. I am 99,9999 % sure that Joey says "were". Listen VERY carefully, you can hear a slight R sound and not an S.

that's true, but, you know, I saw the same "error" with The Clash' single "Bankrobber"... if you have time, search it on utube and listen to minute 1.50 - 2.10, when Strummer says "imagine if all the boys in jail could get out now together, what do you think they'd wanna say to us, while we XXX being clever.........
