I own two pitbulls I in the house and one stays outside to protect our home. Neither one has ever growled at me. The one outside growls at strangers but if you show that you are nice and pet him, he will love you. Pitbulls can be mean if they want to. They are protective dogs....

I love the dog at 2:00, reminds me of a dog that used to live down the street from me. She'd get off her chain occasionally and come down to my street with her puppy to bark at my dog. She was kind of odd but she was one of the sweetest dogs I've ever met.

I own two pitbulls I in the house and one stays outside to protect our home. Neither one has ever growled at me. The one outside growls at strangers but if you show that you are nice and pet him, he will love you. Pitbulls can be mean if they want to. They are protective dogs....

Sometimes I wonder how much stats are affected by people trying to cover their own dog's behind. Like their dog bites their kid, instead of telling that to the hospital staff it's more convienent to say it was a pit.
I love the dog at 2:00, reminds me of a dog that used to live down the street from me. She'd get off her chain occasionally and come down to my street with her puppy to bark at my dog. She was kind of odd but she was one of the sweetest dogs I've ever met.

Because on one side you have the people who believe that no matter what humans do, its the animals fault and so pits as well as who knows how many other breeds should be condemed.
Then you have on the other side the people who realize humans aren't perfect and that what we do to the dogs plays a big roll in how they act. (Yes, I'm very biased, but I think that sums it up.)

More children die at the hands of their own PARENTS then by a pit bull. The average attack made by a pit bull are THREE a year. Now just think about how many children die because of the people that brought them into this world.
