  • Dory Funk, Jr. was the NWA World's Heavyweight Champion on October 27, 1969.

  • Bill Alfonso

  • I think the referee acted irresponsibly (fear) when he raised Kevin Sullivan's hand a few times as the winner. The referee shouldn't have raised anyone's hand. This match was out of control and the match should have been declared a draw.

  • Umm" Kevin looked more like a face than a heel in this one, first time.

  • Now this is wrestling the way I remember it. Kevin would remain with JCP. Dory would be released, and Humperdink would go to WWE, do a face turn, drop the "Sir," and become the manager of Bam Bam Bigelow, which every heel manager (Jimmy Hart, Johnny Valiant, Bobby Heenan, Mr. Fuji & Slick) had been courting the contract of.

  • Damn !! First I tought this was all fake but aww man this is some heavy shit

  • Orange Bowl, Miami. It was on the undercard of the War Games.

  • Where did this match take place?
