  • What an honour to have a comment/sub from you!! Thanks!

  • Great feel and a good interpretation.

  • Oh dude what a great sound! you just make that 4string sounding like a singing ferrari engine ;) i like it man

  • GREAT MAN! yeah this has got me all stoked. I love bona and should atempt to play some in the near feature. Thanks for sharing!

  • Wow love your sound man keep it going.

  • Very cool cover! Only one thing i thought really, i was sure they were octaves during that run in the chorus (2nd, 3rd-b, 3rd), kinda going top octave, lower octave etc... all really quick in traditional bona fashion lol. Otherwise amazing!!!

I could practice and practice that for years and maybe one day get close to doing it, but then remember that he sings at the same time... lol. Just crazy.

    Well done! :D

  • Thanks! But I don't know what you mean by octaves during the run in the chorus.

  • Im crap at explaining, and 90% of the time its total balls lol. But here goes..

If you play the track slowly in like media player or something, at about 0:34 - 0:35, is the run up thing lol. I think it goes:

    G ------

    D 4-5-66

    A ------

    E -2-3--

    Sorry useless at tabs too.

  • As a side note, very cool to see that someone else appreciates the bona as much as i do lol!

  • Man, you're absolutely right! There are some octaves going on there. Damn, missed it! Thanks for letting me know.

And yes, R.Bona is a big influence on my playing, and I love his music.

  • Hehe no problem man!

Now you can teach me that run in the middle! :D

  • OH MY GOD!!!

  • WOOH!! MAN!! Ive definately gotta broaden my horizons in terms of what im learning to play!! This stuff is wickid and youve nailed it man!! Nice going!

  • Echt vet hoor!!!

Is dit echt een Fender Standard JB????...

  • Yep, with custom shop 60's PU, and a bit of compression.

  • awsome, love your fingerpicking, you make it sound like his Imperial!!!!

  • Thanks! I believe he uses his bass passive, therefore the sound similarities.

  • Hey!! Heel schoon :D

Ik ben een grote fan van Richard Bona!! Heb jij de partituur of de tab van dit stuk of van anderen van Richard?

  • Great to hear you play some more. Your time is really solid. Something I'm trying to work on a little more. At times I will play a hair ahead of where I should, nerves thing.

I'll never forget the first time I heard Bona. I got to meet him once too, very nice guy. I dare you to try the closing track on this album. :P Vinnie's playing is killer on this album too.

  • Glad you like it! But this line isn't completely nailed, that fast run in the middle was totally faked.

ahaha man you're crazy, that closing track is insane. Maybe in a few years...

  • I know what fill you're talking about. It's a huge part of the icing on his cake :P Master of the string rake, hehe.

  • Love it matey

  • Thanks! And when do we have the pleasure of seeing some more videos from you? ;)

  • :)

When I get my ProTools system up and running again!

  • amazing!!!
