Stupenda lettura, bellissima voce. Non conoscevo questo attore,ma la sua maniera di leggere poesie è superiore a quelli che vengono di solito lodati, Gielguld o la ridicola voce chioccia di Richard Burton
umm in the song Follow the Reaper by Children of Bodom there's an insert from this poem ;) also Children of Bodom is my all time favorite band so i love this poem too
i have to memorize this poem for english class and i love it, it's so amazing, it has a lot of meaning to it. i love the last phrase that says: And Death shall be no more; Death, thou shalt die. i love this poem!!!!
Yes, there's something about that very appealing, isn't there? Paradox is of course one of the big tropes of Renaissance poetry, but I think Donne does it particularly well.

Thanks for this video! I've listened to it at least a dozen times in an effort to memorize the poem... it's a great recitation.

Nicely done, with wonderful dramatic pauses and inflections of the voice.

Poor death! Thou are slave to ... desperate men and dost with poison, war or sickness dwell - fresh view to turn the tables on Death.
Very nice job, scansion, cadence.
