I remember staying the night at an aunt's place with my family as a child, and watching this series in the evening. I felt scared when there was an episode about a girl who was hiding in the chookyard. Felt apprehensive to go into our chookyard for years after. I've since watched the series again and have been a fan ever since. Like the good vibes of the show, the close-knit community etc. It's a pity Molly died; the show went downhill for a while after she left.
I used to watch this show on Norwegian TV2 back in the 90s. It ran every weekday in 25 minutes eisodes for God knows how many years. That tune will probably stay on my mind for as long as I live.
Actually I remember watching the mudfight episode! How it happened was that they were driving. Vicki the vet spotted a bull stuck in the mud and nagged Simon into stopping. Her efforts to free the bull resulted in 0:15! In real life Penny Cook has said that she can't stand animals and found Fatso the wombat hard to deal with!
i miss this show every time i was home sick or school hoiildays i would watch it
