What kills me about 0:52 is that we hit that designated threshold in either late August or in early September. We are now about to hit 99% Gross Debt-to-GDP Ratio just 8 months after that article. Even though the stock markets worldwide have been going up the past few days, they are NOT an accurate reflection of the economy, as layoffs are increasing, job growth and hiring is still very slow, and debts and unfunded liabilities, along with retirees and food stamp recepients still increasing.

The top mortgage lenders in America during the last 10 years are the problem here, not any ethnic group particularly. People are not aware that mortgages were deliberatly aimed at certain ethnic groups, as a result the last 10 or so years has seen the biggest transfer of wealth from these groups to the rich.

Would you like to comment on the photo of the African American family in your video? Are you implying that a big part of the problem is African Americans? Because that image can easily be used to communicate a variety of things. @dudestube --- Food stamps - EBT cards use has grown 34% in 2 years. Single parent familes with multiple children often are on government assistance. I look for poweful images to convey and enforce the message I am trying to get across - usually tied with a news article to support and inform. Finding the appropriate image can be difficult, especially free images that are usually found through Google searches.

The use of that image was not used for implied Racism.

@PaulRevere2012 -- The problem is NOT that one ethnic group may use government assistance more than another, BUT that society as whole CANNOT AFFORD to continue spend beyond what it's takes in revenue. Nor can it double taxation ( it would require more than doubling to balance budget) without driving economic activity into the sewer.

The Image worked on an Emotional level to reinforce a cognitive argument. You took notice. Some may see racism, others see GOVERNMENT DEPENDENCY.

I was talking to a guy the other day and we we somehow got on the economy. He said he didn't see any resesion and he was making three times the money he was making less than five years ago. When I as him what line of work he was in he smiled and said I'm the economic Grim Reaper, I'm a repo man, I'm doing better than a grave digger during the black plague. He said, when your personal economy catches the economic plague and dies, he shows up in the dark of night and takes everything away.
