WoW... this guy tells it straight up, im 20 and i want to own my own detailing business someday but i got no where near enough cash to sustain something like that at the moment, and need to learn proper wet sanding... man great vid 5/5
@Detailingsuccess Hey! Remember you graciously said you would teach me some stuff about detailing, well I was wondering if it was good for you, we could talk this weekend? Thanks! Chase
@gamrboy100 I do remember and I will still do this with you for sure. I am wrapping up the completion of my book, pretty busy training and I have a couple projects this month...let's plan on chatting in late Jan or early Feb!
@Tim0n85 I and I think most would call that the plastic door jam! Plus, if you look at the hose, we use a very soft, professional grade hose that are cleaned on a regular basis and again, the hose is NOT touch the paint but the plastic kick plate material.
@mattpanz11 That is a loaded question. Depends on many factors based on condition, your expectations and the area you are in. If you want a true, high level detail both inside and out, the range is massive. If you want me to do it, my price start at $600.00 a car.
@gamrboy100 For driven 13 year olds...some things I don't put a price tag on...so it's on my daughter and I as she will take part also and the only cost is your dedication to set some goals and having a nice list of questions for us!
Hello I am 13 years old and I am a good detailer. But for my age I'm great. I take a while for cars and bought close to $200.00 in supplies. I am saving up for a Saleen clone mustang and maybe this will be my career path one day. Can you guide me in how I can get my cars that much better? Thank you.
@gamrboy100 I was your exact age when I started in detailing. I would love to give you some one-on-one phone based coaching and after the first of the year when I am complete with a book I am writing, let's set a date to chat. Keep up the hard work and learn all you can. I have kids your age that are detailing and my oldest who is 17 was a member of the 2011 Air Force One detailing team. I bet she will join us in our talk!
@alriha77 You are 100% right...most in this industry are performing like slaves. BUT...for a few, we are rocking the detailing industry, making money and happy! I hope you are one of us winners doing detailing right! Thanks for the comment...
That was a very nice video and I enjoyed from the start to finish. I am new to detailing and your videos help me a lot.So much that I am getting the VX5000 that you have in the video.
No Offense, but you should detail your audio quality. I stopped it at 0:05 due to terribly distorted audio. Wonder how many more subs you loose do to this? You may have a great thing going too. Honestly, when you step it up, holla at me!
@casswat no where do I say I am a pro at videos and like most other things in life...one get's better as they practice. Those I detail for and those I train do not seek me out for video training or producing video's of their car or jet, they seek me out for automotive/aviation perfection few within the industry are capable of. When you are ready to truly perfect detailing, holla at me and in the mean time...I will practice my video talents. All the best to you and thanks for the message.
I had my own deatiling business out of my garage for 6 years. I was extremely successful at it during that time. However my expertise was interiors, I was a perfectionist and my finished work was beyond anything anyone in my area could do. I use to take the seats out of vehicles front and even the back seats in SUV's to get every last drop of dirt. The local dealers all hired me and word of mouth spread fast and I had more business then I could handle. Most customers want the interior perfect.
hi form yucatan mexico, we are starting a new detailing buissnes, and this videos are very nice, thanks for share, for us is very important to learn every day.....thanks!!!
Detailing a vehicle exterior has nothing to do with the paint. In fact, polishing, wet sanding and waxing should never reach the paint. In truth, what you are trying to restore is the clearcoat. Decades ago, when cars were painted with lacquer paints, the shine came from the paint itself. With today's vehicles. you never touch the paint. Its all about the clearcoat.
