  • I think that is his wife, Esther (51 secs).Looks like her stance, her wristwatch,( as in photo in the New York Times obituary Nov 2009.)I've just re-read The Endless Steppe, it's narrative stayed with me since I was a teenager;I found my original copy in my Mum's treasured books when she, too passed away in 2009! One of her favourite impressions of a young girl's optimism in that dreadful era, every young,overfed,over-indulged teen should read it!

  • I think that is his wife..( at 51 secs). She certainly looks like the photo in the New York Times obituary of her in November 2009..same stance..same wristwatch ? I have just finished reading The Endless Steppe again, I first read it as a young teenager, the images staying with me all my life; I found my original copy amongst my Mum's treasured books after she also passed away in 2009! It was one of her favourite accounts of that time, as it was a teenagers positive outlook..endless optimism!

  • Mr. Hautzig is an amazing musician! About a year ago, I played in one of his masterclasses, and I've never heard anyone sing melodies the way he could. His trills are unusual, but what a singing tone!

  • MAGNIFICO! Loveliness itself!

  • preciosa :)

  • Nice overall concept and beautiful tone but the transitions seemed a bit abrupt. Not completely a seamless canvas, but very nice still.

  • Wow. I just read a book by his wife who was an exile in Siberia during WWII. It's called "The endless Steppe." His wife's name is Esther Rudomin-Hautzig.
