i downloaded that guys sheet music, but the notes are all screwed up. it doesnt come out like how you're playing it. I doubel checked the notes and what i filled in are correct. but it doesnt play right. what are the starting notes after the intro at 22 seconds?

Just be patience. And don't rush it. Actually i play it slower than the original piece. Otherwise i will get sloppy. Just break down the tempo. Play it very slowly and then turn up the tempo bit by bit. Good luck with it;)

Hehe, well i don't think you should expect that you learn the piece in a hour. Maybe when you play the piano 5 years or longer. I am a beginner player too here. I played about 3 years. A good method which i didn't know at that time. Is to practise in fragments. Learn the difficults parts seperately. Play only left hand at difficults part then only right hand. PLay at a lower tempo (which i am doing at this video:P).Just play at a very slow tempo in the first place then turn it up little by littl
When you do this step by step. I am sure you will succeed. When you mastered the difficult parts. The easy parts will come along with the rest. I'll hope this information will help you. If i have to retake this i would do it that way too;) GOOD LUCK with it!!!

It is made by Joseph Rozell. He is from pianothemes. But that site is shutted down for some reason:S I am afraid you have to start to arrange sheetmusic yourself. I also want to arrange some piece of this great OST. But i have some other projects going on:-)

yeah i though the same. JNH is absolutely amazing. One of his best scores i think. One of his newest soundtracks of Defiance is also extremely poweful!

thanks:D Well that is difficult to answer. At that time i played the piano less than 3 years. So when you practise other pieces you practising your general piano skills. But i guess you mean how long i practise this one when i first got the sheets in my hands. Well i think about 2 months, because it is really tricky. I wasn't able at that time to play it at the tempo as the sheets indicated. I think i am able to play it faster now:-) Anyway good luck with the piece;)

Well i am really glad to hear that!!! You will make a lot of people happy with that! I am sure with that:D I used to get a lot of mails for the sheets when i didn't attached it yet to the infobar. And a lot of violist where asking the sheets:D So you do a great job by doing that. Just a curious question. The notes are approximately the same for the violin isn't it? I mean the violin isn't a transpositor instrument? So they don't have to be read in another key or in a different interval....
Sorry, i don't understand you. This is no free style piece. And forget the metronome??! I play this piece slower than the tempo indicates, so you wrong with that, and i tried to play with love:D But maybe i was nervous since this was my first video and the sounc quality is bad. And actually this is written by JNH who is classically trained and who's examples are John Williams and Beethoven. So this is no freestyle piece. But thanks for the comment and your opinion;)
Your playing is very good. I like this video and this piano version of The Gravel Road. But the sound quality isn't very good. I used the download for seeing the note sheets and I was surprised, I think it is difficult to play this song like this. :)

All original scores of JNH, or Corynorhinus from Batman begins (okay, in combination with Hans Zimmer ;) ,Outbreak love theme, One fine day, End titles of Lady in the water. I started playing the piano at an age of 20. The first year i started learning notes and try to play it at the same time. After the first year i started to take lessons. So i am now 23 and almost 24. So when i was making this video i played the piano about more then 3 years.

forgot the metronome too ! it's really important.

mr pianothemes is a great man :) I have known that page for a looong time, too bad they havent had many new contribitions (spelling?) to the site.. you do a great job, this piece is SO hard, have to get used to the right hand in the start.. :D oh well, have to watch the movie first I guess ^^

hehe, yes indeed! By the way joseph Rozell made also a great arrangement of that piece: concerning hobbits. That is also a nice example of the great work of Joe Rozell:D That piece isn't on the market. I mean you cannot order it from the internet...

hi there, I am sorry for the late reply. I am in Canada right now:D But about your question, things have changed a lot in the last 4 years i think. I have several original scores of JNH. For example the King Kong book. All original scores of JNH, or Corynorhinus from Batman begins (okay, in combination with Hans Zimmer ;) ,Outbreak love theme, One fine day, End titles of Lady in the water. But i have to agree with you that there are way to few scores of him published;) Grtz ps want the sheets?

hehe, nice comment. I also like the movie very much. The ending was really shocking:O I remember i had gooseboomps all over my body at that moment. I mean the escapism clue etc.

Its not often i am taken back by musicians on youtube, but you are outstanding. i find myself listening to your recording of "the gravel road" numerous times over and over when i go onto youtube. how many years sis it take you to get to the proffesional stage you are at now? be hones :)

I started playing the piano at an age of 20. The first year i started learning notes and try to play it at the same time. After the first year i started to take lessons. So i am now 23 and almost 24. So when i was making this video i played the piano about more then 3 years.
