@dredgtones I know this because either Ponder or Dalton would of for sure been there if the Vikings traded down and picked up more draft picks, we could of still gotten our guy later he was not worthy of being selected that high especially with all the potential franchise players on the board. Also we were in need of a DE and somehow Bowers fell as low as he did and we didn't select him in the second round which would of been a steal.

@BDillz8228 They wanted Ponder and he wasn't going to make it past 15. Bowers was clearly off our board because of his knee, and Robison will be a more than capable starter. DE wasn't a major need IMO, I'd much rather have upgraded interior lineman but... Rudolph was a steal in the second round, will probably (or should) start right away for this team and be a safety valve for Ponder. Look what Gronk & Hernandez did for the Patriots last season.

Lions rams and Dolphins weren't going for a QB LMFAO The earliest he was expected to go was late 1st round and was likely to fall with Locker coming off the board so early! We only have one Jared Allen at DE and you need at least 2 in the NFL, Ray Edwards future is uncertain, and he has superstar potential. I don't have a problem with the Vikes picks only where they picked em. Learn about football before you talk to me.

I know what Todd McShay said about the Vikings reaching too, that doesn't = football knowledge. About defensive ends, OBVIOUSLY you need two.. How many times have the Vikings taken a DE early in the draft only for them to bust? Brian Robison has talent and experience, and I'm confident in his abilities. Form your own opinions please.

@korntoolapc Since he came back from hip surgery he hasnt done shit so it might not be as big of a loss as it seems. The hip may plauge him the rest of his career. He has had other nagging injuries over the years too so maybe this was a blessing in disguise. Would I have liked him to stay on the team, of course. But in this day and age its rare to find a player thats loyal to a team. I wouldnt be suprised if peterson bolts next year. I give rice a 50-50 chance on regaining his 2009 form.

If not for injuries, he would have shattered every recieving record by at TE at ND in only 3 seasons. What a set of hands and speed for someone who weighs 265 lbs!! That 95 yard TD rec against Michigan is a record that will likely never be broken by another TE. Good luck in the league and thanks for carrying on the legacy of Tight End U..
