it is heat resistant paint yes. I had these rocker covers on my RB30DET for over a year and never had a problem. But I have had a lot of work done to me engine with these covers on and they have gotten scratched.... :(
I have a couple of spare sets of rocker covers so I will do this process again. might try a different color combination but It's basically a base color with a die over the top to give it that candy look.
