I saw Tom Felton is Rise of the Planet of the Apes last night. I loved the last two books cause it showed the Malfoy family's more in-depth relationships. Like, you expect Draco to come from a horrible home, but in reality he has two pretty twisted parents who just really love him. And that after those two there's no one that can say Draco regretted it or that he isn't a loved kid.

I think the whole 'Lucius was utterly terrible/abusive towards Draco' is a bit of a fan made idea. I mean he was definitely strict and a little abrasive but you could tell that he loved his son and wanted to protect him. I certainly don't blame Lucius for anything Draco did (Other than the overly proud pureblood routine of course) because as far as I'm concerned Draco made his own choices in life.
I hated him at first because of his attitude but as the books and movies went on I started to feel really bad for him. It wasn't his fault. I really truly do feel bad. Especially when he was suppose to kil Dumbledore. Quote~ "If I don't kill you, they will Kill Me!!!" :'(
To be honest, I kind of really, somewhat mostly, HATE Draco to the very core, and think he is a stuck up little brat, but after I got around to thinking about it, I've grown to realize that it's not all his fault, and I kinda feel sorry for him now. i totally agree! this song describes their relationship very well "Because of you, i play on the safe side so i dont get hurt" puts out that he DID care for draco, but "because of you i find it hard to trust not only me but everyone around me" says that yet they are far different
