  • Il sacrificio di Pilade Bronzetti fu determinato dai suoi superiori...Di fatto la sua posizione a Castel Morrone era trascurabile e sarebbe potuta essere presa in un secondo momento..Ma al Maggiore borbonico Nicoletti, Comandante del 6° reggimento Farnese, fu ordinato di impossessarsi di quella posizione..e questo affaticò la truppa borbonica che comunque continuò a combattere con slancio e valore arrivando fin dentro Caserta..ma il generale borbonico Ruiz, si ritirava verso Capua...stranamente
