  • Kenneth Gant on Bass

  • Yes, this version has a better bass.

  • There's hardly any difference between this and Dynasty's version!!

  • That's what I'm talking about. Give me a five for that track. You're the best.

  • I remember this song when I was in high school. I didn't know who sang this song. It sounded like Shalamar at first.

  • @sempfi68 This is the right song, but the version you 'remember' is by Dynasty.

  • @djtenn Good looking out. Dynasty's version was the one I heard back in the day. I remember the song being longer than 3:50.

  • @sempfi68 You make a great point! I am a die hard Midnight Star FAN and this does not really sound like a Midnightstar song. But it DOES remind you of something Shalamar would sing becuz Belinda sounds a lot like Jody Whatley on this track.

  • The same music track with different voices!

  • I love this version also... something about the bass

  • I have this song on a best of Dynasty cd so it would seem Midnight Start may have tried to cover it and decided to let the Dynasty version ride because that version is far funkier and the beat is hotter.

  • @turnex1 their exactly the same. Midnight Star takes co-producing credit on the Dynasty version. So, it is likely that Dynasty was given this track after Midnight Star had already created a finished draft of this song. Under the SOLAR family, Midnight Star was one of the few (if not only) self-producing units. All others were pretty much Leon Sylvers III.
