  • i loved this show so much, the way it was written was bure brilliance, the way it could turn from side splitting comedy to heart wrenching drama in a matter of seconds is nigh unrivaled, and the depth of the characters for what was mainly a comedy was amazing... easily one of the best show to come along once a generation

  • I love the song and what a song to fit the scene. That what really nearly made me cry :'(

  • i love this scene lol but for anyone whos been in the medical field long, i know this scene is kinda old, but is the code part any accurate, cause by todays standards there was alot wrong. but was it correct when this came out?

  • Is it going faster than usual or am i a sausage wearing a pineapple on it's head?

  • @Flygonair pretty sure it is....

  • One of the greatest scenes in history of television. John C. McGinley is just brilliant.

  • one of those rare true brilliant scenes

  • really never expected this on scrubs, but it's awesome

  • One the most emotional scenes i have EVER scene from ANY t.v program! Absolute genius!

  • I actually did cry... this is by far the saddest scene in scrubs ever! well done to the actors!

  • Honestly I almost cried at this scene. The end where Dr Cox is trying so hard to save that man and he doesn't then goes beserk, really hit me because just the emotion of a man tired of failing his pacients and the guilt brought onto him on a bad call. Plus the song is simply amazing for this scene, best eotional scenes not only in scrubs but in TV.

  • it is impossible not to get even a little sad after watching this.

epic scene. epic episode. epic show.

and also, 2 people who disliked this are the most insensitive animals ever known to men.

  • iw anted to cry :'(

  • This always makes me cry :'(

  • I'm not gonna lie, I cried a little when i saw this the first time.

  • yeah... your right...

  • those 2 dislikes are people without any emotion

  • 2:04 made me cry :(

  • "The second you start blaming yourself for peoples deaths theres no coming back"

    Very true.

  • the mixture of emotions here is hard to believe.. dr cox is blaming himself for the patients death jd is full of sympathy carla is feeling sorry for dr cox but wrecked tired also.. while all the staff are getting out of the room because they all knew cox was going to flip... such a powerful scene

  • they did a really good job if they wanted ppl to be really sad =(

  • i lov scrubs i almost cried its so emotional

  • Moments like this really hit you in the gut, the song makes it hit in the heart though. They did a good job with this.

  • no doubt about it that's the most emotional scene from scrubs

  • this is actually the saddest scrubs moment ever =(

  • @fuckuyawanker and the most beautiful...

  • So sad... ;~;

  • I never really liked scrubs. I can tell it's a great show, just not my type of humor. I always wished that they had more episodes like this. This is by far one of my favorite scenes from any sitcom ive ever seen. Dr. Cox really made this show great!

  • Never have I watched a "sitcom" that has touched me so many times.

  • I know people who dont watch Scrubs because they think its just some silly US comedy sitcom. What it really is, is a show that is so original because it has been directed to know exactly when to become sensitive to real situations in a usual hospital, and never uses unrealistic story-lines. I know they are missing out because it's much more than your average Two and a Half Men bullshit, it's a combination of laughing when its right and bawing like a 4 year old when things go wrong in the show.

  • @RidiculousAdamski Yes, I used to often watch Scrubs on the computer and sometimes my dad would catch a scene and get a chuckle out of it. But overall he said he couldn't see himself getting into the show 'cause it's so over the top and I said, "it gets quite serious and emotional at times though" and he said, "yes, but I don't think I could take it seriously when the rest is so over the top." So I hit him with this scene. He filled up. Harshest way I ever won an argument, though.

  • @allpossibleworlds Haha that's funny and sad at the same time

  • not gonna lie people.. i cried at this scene. it's just so deep and touching

  • this was based on an actual case :(

  • 16,000th viewer :)

  • I felt soo bad for Dr. Cox when he lost his last patient.

  • hes a good actor hi...

  • Greatest show ever, great scene

  • Saddest/Favourite scrubs scene

  • #1 Show...no lie

  • Sadest scene in scrubs ever

  • One of the many reasons John C. McGinley (Dr. Cox) is my favourite small-time actors.

  • that 1 person that disliked is a faggot. that is all.

  • @xRxNGamingx Wow..yes it's sad but why judge one person in particular. He might of disliked it because of. 1: Comments, 2: A certain actor he dislikes. 3: Or maybe he just doesnt like this scene. Get a grip on the fact that opinion isnt the same in every indivisual, dont judge them.

  • @GamerBoy470 im good.

  • @GamerBoy470 hey fuck you and fuck the two people who disliked it 1) if you dont like it dnt fkng type it in the search box to bitch about it... so yes fkng judge them

  • this show is the best show i've ever seen. this show means so much to me. why did they have to cancel it? :(

  • Best scene in scrubs. End.

  • goosebumps at 2:12

  • this literally runs chills down my spine

  • Back when scrubs was amazing :( too bad they gutted the cast and then the whole show :( R.i.P Scrubs you will be missed

  • 1 person dosent know HOW TO SAVE A LIFE

  • Best F ing Scrubs acting in all the seasons, it was so emotional, so captivating. It goes down as one of the best scenes of all time. Dr. Cox was amazing, carla was also believable, and even Dr. dorian wasnt annoying.

  • I like it when they show the Emotional Dr. Cox

  • not going to lie guys i cryed when i watched this..

  • @NOWAYOUT688 me 2 man it was soooo sad Cox is definitly my favorite scrubs character

  • @NOWAYOUT688 Fag :P

  • @eecy1 homophobe :P

  • @NOWAYOUT688 Ive seen the episode 5 times, everytime I cried. During this scene and the scene where Cox is at Ben's funeral, I always have to cry, can't help myself. Fantastic series, for laughing and crying.

  • @NOWAYOUT688 i got close

  • 2:11 =/

  • kudos to the fray

  • dr cox is the best.

  • My favourite scene in scubs, acting is superb.. makes my eyes water everytime

  • House is a good character, but Cox is better. Such a sad scene... Cox deserved an award for the acting on this one.

  • This is by far the most emotional moment in scrubs. The song, how hard they fought and the fact that even Cox gives in after this. This makes me sad everytime i watch it...

  • so awesome, its scenes like these that separate scrubs from all the other sit-com's out there, and part of what makes this one of the greatest shows ever.

  • I just finished Season 8, which one was the very last episode. I'll probably start Season 9 later, but not now. After finishing the last episode, I had to watch this scene again. I already watched it a couple of times. One of my favourite scenes all time.

  • @Csubyy trust me , you dont have to watch season 9 because it's shit !!

the real scrubs is from seasn 1 to season 8 the 9th season is just stupid idea from ABC .

  • @aboo00oode992

Well, I heard the same. Too bad. I mean, too bad they started it after finishing the story. I'd appreciate 9th season in case it wasn't closed in season 8.

Anyway, I won't ruin my memories about this excellent series. Thanks for the tips though. :D

  • @aboo00oode992, yes. :P it went on too long..it went down, like some series does after they still goes on show for so long.

  • you can cry watching this

  • 2:10 CARLa!

  • THE BEST SERIE OF ALL TIMES

  • top knoched acting! great scene from music to the actors

  • Underrated? Yes, but not in late seasons, season 9 was crappy withou Janitor and JD in some episodes. With ending of season 8, scrubs was done. Best comedy show ever.

  • Amazingly enough, it's always the best shows that get the lowest ratings. Not only did this show have an amazing sense of humour, refreshing and goofy, but also had strong moments like these. On top of that you learned something from almost every episode of the show. Almost life lessons.

The writing, the acting; something I truly respect. Not much can give me goosebumps, but this show succeeded.

  • Wow,the mix of this song, the naration and Dr. Cox's emotions is pure genious...

  • One of the most moving scenes ever! i cried when I saw this ;(

  • this is genius. it went from very funny when the janitor asks todd: what the hell are you and todd answers: im the todd, then it goes to this very emotional scene. so amazing.

    i love scrubs<3

  • The last one that died was one of DR. Cox best friends also which makes it more sad. This show is underrated in my honest opinion.

  • @MrCrazyJedi In my opinion, if scrubs was rated the greatest thing ever, it would still be underrater.

  • i like how they made it a comedie and also emotional scenes thumbs up if you like how they made the serie!!

  • ;_;

  • they all died because:they had to get new organs and when they came they all had rapies and they died.love the song HATE how it went. sad face

  • THE BEST!

  • gotta say, one of my favorite scenes ever <3 and the song, the actors. Just amazing. Love scrubs ;D

  • One of the best tv shows ever

  • Finally the right version !!!!! A very moving episode.. we need more Scrubs, Come back !!!

  • 2:19 - *sadcarla* :C

  • scrubs is the best tv-show ever

  • great, great scene

  • Dr. Cox: Oscar suspicious!

  • wow, the englisch version is way more emotional than the german Q.Q

  • i had never heard this song before i saw the episode.. to be honest i think they aired this episode in europa before the song really became a hit;P and the song is just good when it is involved in scrubsXD i actually dont like the song when i dont watch this clipXD

  • Most emotional episode in the whole thing. I <3 Scrubs and I <3 S5E20!

  • carla's expression is amazing...this mix between sad and exhausting...

  • @MegaKrysth10 that is the best acting performance i have seen on scrubs ever;P

  • @MegaKrysth10 For an non-speaking, 5 second performance she totally nailed this scene. Literally flawless acting.

  • Thumbs up if scrubs is one of the greatest tv shows..ever!!
