  • Good Work. I have also built a refinery

Tip: Add a gallon of distilled water ( rain water ) to the plastic chips and a little white lime or zeolite (about one cup full) Refineries call it catalitic cracking.

This will make the oil come out more clear. The water steam will help push out the oil vapor and make the whole process much safer cus water steam is less flamable. It could then be run a little cooler also and use less fire wood! Catalytic Hydropyrolysis - search it !

  • @MrCurtispedersen Hi Curt

What pressure do you keep your reactor at? Seems like with water in there the natural pressure would reach about 600PSI. I have been doing runs at 30-40 psi into the catalytic cracker stage and getting the green oil from polyethylene.

  • i see.thanks form the answering,i know nothing in HC but i like to think of ideas

  • yes, could it be more flamable? or would it take away some of the flamability potencial

  • @blazterreck You can crack it again and get a more flammable liquid (one with more naptha compounds, and higher vapor pressure) but you will sacrifice total caloric content since you will overcrack and lose more of your HC that would be flared off. And make a more difficult to handle/store compound.

  • yes filter it

  • is your system pressurised?

  • @miki04091986 The pressure on this run was 30PSI

  • COULD YOU ENRICH IT WITH COFEE FILTER?

  • @blazterreck I'm not sure. You mean filter it?

  • Would you please contact me for a related project?

  • .

    ...OOO... O ...OOO...

    .

  • @EKOSMUNiDAD Are you sure?

  • Can I get more info on the process my email is leroydavisjr@gmail.com I want to build one for myself

  • @lbdavisjr I don't recommend it.

  • in reply to your response,i am very interested in the plastic to oil conversion.i am currently composting waste food and paper products ,but all this plastic is left over.they recycle all the "easy" plastic.but still lots of left over,no one more aggravated at the waste everything than i .so any innovation is welcome.

  • What are you using as feed stock?

  • @LittlePetieWheat Polyethylene sheeting, as commonly used on greenhouses.
