Not quite as bad as 2 January 1982 but I know how hard it can be seeing your machine die.

I lost 55010 and a few years later 47425 during my times as a basher, and you never really recover from it.

Seeing 55010 getting cut up at Doncaster was one of the saddest days of my life - it was almost like losing a member of the family!!

My babies were 43039 and 43053, but 43039 is now a poxy MTU, leaving me with just 43053 and this video makes me think about her. Once again, my sympathy is with you Matt.

When that day comes, that will be a sad day for many. At least we still got the remaining vals tho eh (for how much longer tho)(with the prospect of some being preserved by the 125 Group, though that won't be for a while yet)

We will still have some great stock, but a Val HST will never quite be beaten.

dude i know myself how it feels to lose something near to you it's such a shame they're turning hsts into mtus they're so boring they make no noise and it in't making them any better or faster one of the valentas are the fastest diesel on the planet so what's the point of mtus besides a place in a scrap yard where they tried to put everything else i'm sure we'll never forget 43105 and lets hope they have sence not to make anymore
