  • thankyou so much for this. i have only tonight discoved your work (i am guessing it's yours).

here are some of my views on feminism:

    1. for those who think feminism is irrelevant: look globally

    2. though i'm white and middle class so i enjoy learning about feminist theroy

    3. looking sexy is not empowerment, it's just buying stuff (being white and middle class i can enjoy that too)

    4. as a feminist i support the women who choose to work in the sex industry

  • We live in a woman hating culture. The first step to overcoming the problem is admitting it, but society hasn't yet admitted to its' misogyny

  • I always wanted to do what Huey P Newton did with the panther party, if I did, I would focus on the following things concerning the defense and advancement of women in our society:

Giving food, shelter, and other things of necessity including even arming, prostitutes in rough area's in the US.

Stopping the bullshit housewife feminism, having women in our society fight back against being mistreated by men and treated like second class citizens.

    Combating rape and domestic abuse.

  • Also, women would be the ones doing this, men wouldn't be doing it for them. Women would have pivotal parts in the party.

  • the best way of dealing with currents that would usher actual upheaval and change in society is not wiping them out coz that's practically im possible and costly, it's just taming them

  • Don't dog me here, but I don't get the anti-marriage thing. My husband and I have both grown and become better people since we have been together. Is the point just that one doesn't need to marry to have a good relationship? Or is the point to avoid relationships? If this is seen as a stupid question I'm sorry, but I just don't understand.

  • I was just nodding off as listen to this and the strangest idea crossed my head that I was downloading hard boiled eggs in the shape of a double popsicle and they would be very delicious to eat. IDK i could taste them.. I hope thats not freudian misogynist or someting.

  • The Sheila Jeffreys interview is awesome. It's really hard to find her stuff online.

  • Awesome podcast. Thanks for uploading to YouTube.

  • While I thought more information could have been given in this time, there were things that helped such as the marriage thing. Thanks for this and whatever info is out there. I might make another overall video on whatever. It might not have much, but I am going to take a more serious tone.

  • Also - that cartoon of the girl in the skirt yelling, I use to have that pic hanging in my room, 15 yrs ago.

  • long view, but interesting. liked the pictures.

  • Great radio show! I like how it confronts the misinformation that's spread around about radical feminism. Of course none of the ppl who spread the misinformation will watch, which sucks.

  • Excellent post. It touched on so many concepts that I haven't considered and yet it still brings to light the fundamental assertiveness of consumerism.

  • excellent

  • thank you for this upload.

  • Just a note as I listen. from about 23:00 - 27:00 :

The ultimate objectification of women at large, occurs in the minds of some of the porn consumers and is not accomplished wholly by the porn itself.

  • @BlowDevilUp

    Chicken, Egg.

  • @iremythpurr Is Dworkin blaming porn alone (its effect upon psyche)? To me it just doesn’t seem right to make porn entirely responsible for the objectification we are seeing in society. Maybe she has a well founded argument and also shows the other contributing factors but I know so little of her work. So this your video of the podcast is especially informative. But please answer my question if you know the answer from studying Dworkin's message.

  • @BlowDevilUp

I can't believe you're even asking me this fucking question. No she's not blaming it alone for the objectification of women. Women are objectified because we live in a patriarchal society. Porn is just one of the many ways its institutionalized.

  • "Women are objectified because we live in a patriarchal society."

You're going to have to dig deeper; because this is not why. I'm not buying it sister. If you settle for this excuse, you will have missed the boat. I accept that you cannot throw up an entire series of information in one phrase, so I'll keep looking at your stuff, this must be elaborated upon. I do appreciate your efforts. I want to see you pin down, uproot and obliterate the source of this complex critical state of society.

  • @BlowDevilUp

You know, I really don't give a fuck what you think. Im not here to convince you. If you have some ulterior idea as to why it is put it forward, if not then don't waste my time with this crap.

  • Could anyone recommend a Dworkin book?

  • @ThatGuysSockAccount

I think Right Wing Women and Women Hating are my favorites. Her memoirs "Heartbreak" was a pretty good introduction to her for me as well.

  • @ThatGuysSockAccount Life and Death is a collection of articles and speeches. It gives a good all-round picture of what she was about.

  • I love this video.

  • Thank you so much for uploading this. It's kind of just what I need to watch. Very powerful. That part, about 39 minutes in, with the sample of the guy interviewing Andrea Dworkin, his ignorance was so infuriating; it's sad that a lot of that willful ignorance is still so pervasive today. It kind of boggles my mind how the term "post-feminist" even exists, to be honest.

  • @justsomeapples wasn't that awesome. I loved that part too! Proud to be a Radical Feminista!

  • @justsomeapples

Yeah, I could really identify with her having to patiently explain herself to this guy who probably was given some soundbite of her work to ask her about. I deal with those stupid ass ignorant questions on a daily basis.

  • This is awesome! I'm gonna go to the site!

  • Who was the MC at the beginning?

  • @rubbleofempires

I dunno. They didn't have any of that stuff listed and I'm just not that hip.

  • I've been curious about this for a while, so I thought i'd ask somewhere you might see it. What is your position on women serving in the military, in any society?

  • @Anghellik9

I think that women should be considered equals in the military and not relegated to "non combatant" positions because of some supposed inferiority we have (even though many women are serving alongside combatants they make less money). I think if there's a draft it should apply to both men and women. Etc. I however don't condone individuals support the military industrial complex at all.

  • @iremythpurr Cool, that's what we have up here in the great white north. Albeit, not as many women as men want to join the military, and fewer still want to fight in a combat role. I know a girl who is a qualified paratrooper. She's fucking awesome lol.

As for your last little bit, even if this was a communist society, there would still need to be a military construct so long as the country had external enemies.

  • @Anghellik9

Even in the context of the state we don't necessarily need a military industrial complex. I'm not that knowledgeable about communism but military contractors (what alot of market anarchists would use) could work in tandem with something like Israel or Switzerland has for defense. Mind, I am an anarchist so I don't necessarily agree with that either.

I find it particularly sad that the invention of the gun didn't neutralize nearly as much sexism as you would think would happen.

  • @GiantKukri The problem with military contractors is that they run entirely off the profit motive. If that was the only motivation in a conflict such as, say, World war 1, I doubt many people would sign up to fight for $1.25 per day.

  • @Anghellik9

I'm sure they will pay them more than that. Especially considering if they don't they could desert far easier. Basically giving you a free ride to some opium rich company.

Besides the military industrial complex runs on profit motive as well. Only difference is is that with them it's monopolized. I mean yeah, ideology runs some of the people over there but that vast majority are there because they get decent pay and an alright retirement plan.

  • @GiantKukri If you're talking about my reasons to join the military, tou would be right. I'm looking for money, transferrable skills, and some benefits. Take Germany at the close of the first world war when it comes to the profit motive. They were on the verge of economic and industrial collapse, so close that they were eating at the nations vitals. However, they still managed to continue the war long enough to keep the allies from taking German lands.

  • @Anghellik9

Either way you look at it is most people kill because it puts food on the table.

  • @iremythpurr

Especially now days when physical strength is less of an all around necessity.

  • excellent analysis sister

  • @GirlonFilm1969 Proud to be a TRUE feminist who doesn't kowtow to the dick. Yes, these lib fun women have repackaged this 'freedom'. It's Orwell all over again. Freedom=Slavery. These women don't get this either because they're too stupid or they're completely ignorant. I can't imagine the cognitive dissonance of these women on this site who suck cock for power and think that's feminist.

  • @GirlonFilm1969 I wonder how many of those drama queens actually listened to this? Probably none.

  • I HATE MYSELF

  • @freedomfriestastebad

now is that a personal problem or a societal one?
