Good, I would start with the easier analogy first though. The people who need the easy explaination will have clicked away by the time you get to it. The people who want the dry exact definitiion will hang with you to the end of video.

This definitions are a bit incomplete. You still have to mention that vector 0 must be in V, also commutativity, distributivity etc of multiplication aand sum, and that for scalar multiplication the scalar must belong to the field upon which V is constructed.

It seems to me that you describe a subspace, not a vector space. I thought vector space had to fulfill the axioms....
