A point to take note: Try to listen to the Drums at 0:27 in your Cover, and in the song. You'll notice that the Snares are on the 2nd and 4th beat. The Drums can really change the mood of the song. Yours is a more Death Metal kind, while if you change the drums, you'll feel a Rock kind of feeling.
Other than that, quite nice.
P.S. Try to put Bass. It can change a lot.
