Anyone who has half a brain would know that male lions are built for only three things. Their whole lives are lived just to protect their pride (fight), eat, and mate. That is it. They of course more times than not will win. Tigers avoid fights as they can't afford the injuries, and not being able to hunt, but a lion can afford to get hurt, as his pride will hunt for him.

the tiger brush it off like nuthin. didn't phase the tiger much. Notice the lion backed off when the tiger quickly striked back. May have caught the tiger off guard but when a tiger strike the lion better back off or flee otherwise it will suffer injuries. Lion was smart enough to avoid anymore confrontation and walked off.
