Hey man ... You know that's a red-tail! I saw dozens of red-tails driving around the Hat Creek Valley. Also saw dozens while driving around the farm lands of the Sacramento Valley. My guess is farming or ranching areas tend to have good rodent populations, so the red-tails eat well in them.
Covered a lot of ground? About 1450 miles total and ~$350 fuel. If I hadn't had car trouble six days before I finally did leave L.A., I would have stayed in that area much longer.
I see Red Tails at Chino Hills S.P....sometimes they go crazy with thier call.
I hate when something goes wrong with your car. Even after you fix it, it is still in the back of your mind...Hehe
