@129LIZZY Hi, about 2-3 minutes, you certainly do it longer if you like. I love to do it after I have done my floor ab workout because it helps stretch out my ab muscles as well as tone them.

@ShazRetta293 Hi, I think that's great. If you enjoy jogging, it's a great way to stay in shape. You may want to consider adding some resistance training with weights to your exercise routine and some ab work to target your abdominal muscles.

Hi, you can certainly lose weight with that plan. Remember you don't want to crash diet. Aim for 1-2 pounds of weight loss per week. Certainly doing cardio everyday and eliminating junk food and eating healthfully will help you achieve your goal.
HI i have a friend who does 1000 sit ups a day and is a very large muscley person but cant get rid of the tyre around their waist. Do you have any suggestions, He works so hard but the tyre wont leave.
@luvnluvn Tyre? Does he do cardio? Sit ups are totally last decade. They're literally the worst ab exercise. He should do a routine of hanging leg and knee raises, crunches, russian twists to work the obliques, vertical crunches and ab cycles. I hate to say this but a lot of people get a "tyre" from using hgh or roids... when you say hes very large do you mean huge? If it's not the above he may just have a large bone structure that protrudes beyond the upper body shape he has achieved.
@tantorecords Hi no he's drug free, just enjoys his weights. Hed never use steroids as he knows the effects to the body are not good long term. He's 6 foot 4 and weighs 19stone and most of its muscle weight. The only fat on him is around his midrift. What is a hanging leg, knee raise and vertical crunch? I will google them. Sounds like he just needs to cut with more cardio... same diet, just more running or cycling as well as intense ab workouts, he may just be favoring upper body exercises like presses. Hanging ab exercises are great for burning off the small part of tummy fat that usually covers the abs and obliques, search those exercises on google you will find a good routine on bodybuilding (.)com
Hi, he should do more cardio. That will help remove the excess fat around his midsection. He also needs to watch his diet to help lose the excess weight. Also, 1000 situps each day is excessive and not necessary to get fit abdominal muscles. I would recommend every other day and to cut that amount in half. Do the situps more slowly and more controlled for best results.
i think if like you want to eat less but just can't do it cause its hard, You should DRINK LOTS OF WATER before you eat because you'll become full faster

Hi, I think losing that much weight a month is too much. I'm not sure what the equivalent is for you, but you shouldn't lose more that 2-4 pounds per month. It's healthier for your body to lose weight slower and the weight will stay off. Crash diets are harmful to your health and usually you end up gaining the weight back when you go off them. Keep up your exercising and several small healthy and balanced meals throughout the day to keep your metabolism revved and you will see results.

Hi, that's totally normal. You're muscles were not used to this exercise. Let them rest 24 hours or more before doing it again to be sure your muscles repair. That's how they get fitter :o)

Hi, it can be so hard to find time for yourself when you have a new baby, but it will get easier as the baby gets older. You're doing a great job with the dance exercise; that's great cardio. You needs to resistance exercise to help tone. In time your tummy will get flatter and flatter especially if you keep up the dance aerobics to burn excess calories and fat. If you could just keep that great music on and do 10 minutes of ab work after your dancing, I think you will really see results.
Or you can try belly dancing or just dancing everyday for about 10 mins doing belly movements, you will see great results ! Fun and effective. Just turn that music up and dance :D

Hi, usually adding weights to an exercise is more beneficial as it provides additional resistance, however, with this particular exercise I do not recommend using weights as it takes away from the effect on your obliques and limits your range of motion.

Hi, I recommend you do this exercise 3 times a week and that you work out with cardio, etc. 3-4 times a week for best results. You don't want to do this everyday or any toning exercise everyday because your body needs a day of rest in between to rest your muscles so they can recover. That's how they tone and get stronger.
Hi, doing ab work every day is not recommended because your muscles at least one day of rest in between to repair. That's how they get stronger and firmer. This exercise is a great one, but you will also need to do sit ups as part of your ab workout routine so that you can target all of your ab muscles.

Hi, you didn't mention whether you exercise or not, but perhaps you have become more sedentary recently which can lead you to gain weight even though you are eating the same amount of food. If you are already exercising, try to take a good look at your diet and see whether it's your choices or it's quantity consumed and make adjustments. By the way, I don't recommend diet pills. They often have unwanted side effects, so please be careful.
@notxworthless that is the problem. diet pills make u gain weight but try more protein and cut out some dairy . drink more tea water cut down on sodium and sugary foods and glutten. add coacoanut oil into your dietary regiment. it helps the thyroid and boost metabolism make changes to ur diet and see what happends. go to a weight loss support group at a church and pray that helps me to lose weight.
Hi, I do have videos posted that work out your thighs which also work out your hip area. Please take a look at them when you have time. Also, be sure to incorporate cardio exercise into your routine to burn the excess calories and fat to slim down that area. Hope that helps :o)
Hi, weak abs definitely affect your posture. Having weak abs can also cause back pain and problems lifting things. Much of our strength comes from our core which is the abdominal area of our bodies. Building strong abs is one of the best things you can do for your body.

Hi, I doing great thank you! When you exercise is simply finding a time of the day that works for your schedule. There is no better time. I would say the least desirable time would be late into the evening because you don't get as long of a follow through time when your metabolism remains high because you have to go to sleep. Also, exercising too close to bedtime is disruptive to sleep. You can mix it up too - some days before breakfast others before dinner, etc.

Hi, keep working at it. You will get rid of that muffin. Soreness is very common and will dissipate as your abs muscles get fitter.

Hi, usually adding weights to an exercise is more beneficial as it provides additional resistance, however, with this particular exercise I do not recommend using weights as it takes away from the effect on your obliques and limits your range of motion.

Hi, when you have time please take a look at my arm exercises video which uses dumbbells. I think you will find it very helpful for strengthening and toning your arms. Please also check out my push ups video. Push ups are wonderful for your whole upper body.

Hi, I don't recommend doing this with weights. You engage your pectoral muscles too much and it really takes away from working your obliques.

Hi, I am not a certified trainer. I am someone who has a lot of experience with fitness and what works and I am sharing it with others to help them benefit from my success. Please check out my breakfast video and my portion control video to get an idea of my diet ways. I do eat a low fat diet consisting of foods from each of the food groups for a balanced diet. I cook everything myself because it's healthier than take out or ready-made foods and I love whole grains for my carbs.

Hi, you are kind of sucking it in and tensing it at the same time. Your making it hard like your preparing to receive a punch and you don't want it to hurt you so you tense your muscles. Sorry for the terrible analogy!

Hi, I recommend you do this exercise 3 times a week and that you work out with cardio, etc. 3-4 times a week for best results. You don't want to do this everyday or any toning exercise everyday because your body needs a day of rest in between to rest your muscles so they can recover. That's how they tone and get stronger.

Hi, doing ab work every day is not recommended because your muscles at least one day of rest in between to repair. That's how they get stronger and firmer. This exercise is a great one, but you will also need to do sit ups as part of your ab workout routine so that you can target all of your ab muscles.

Hi, you didn't mention whether you exercise or not, but perhaps you have become more sedentary recently which can lead you to gain weight even though you are eating the same amount of food. If you are already exercising, try to take a good look at your diet and see whether it's your choices or it's quantity consumed and make adjustments. By the way, I don't recommend diet pills. They often have unwanted side effects, so please be careful.

@notxworthless that is the problem. diet pills make u gain weight but try more protein and cut out some dairy . drink more tea water cut down on sodium and sugary foods and glutten. add coacoanut oil into your dietary regiment. it helps the thyroid and boost metabolism make changes to ur diet and see what happends. go to a weight loss support group at a church and pray that helps me to lose weight.

Hi, weak abs definitely affect your posture. Having weak abs can also cause back pain and problems lifting things. Much of our strength comes from our core which is the abdominal area of our bodies. Building strong abs is one of the best things you can do for your body.

Hi, I doing great thank you! When you exercise is simply finding a time of the day that works for your schedule. There is no better time. I would say the least desirable time would be late into the evening because you don't get as long of a follow through time when your metabolism remains high because you have to go to sleep. Also, exercising too close to bedtime is disruptive to sleep. You can mix it up too - some days before breakfast others before dinner, etc.
