Helped him during a few clinics with translations etc. And trust me, there are really no one like him playing drums today. Also saw him in LA in ca 1993. Dave Weckl was in the audience and he stared into the table and shook his head during one of Dennis´solos:)
Man, I know everyone evolves, but I just LOVE the way he used to play back in the day. Even though the "sport" of drumming has supposedly advanced and evolved, I guarantee you if he got up on a stage right now in front of the top 100 supposed hottest drummers of today, every single one of them would be on their feet trying to keep their jaws off the floor.
