  • ahhhh the golden age of broward county transit. why did the low floors had to come in and ruin everything?????? some are good but new nabi's come on. I like the new flyer and gillig better anyway.

  • hey when are you going to make all the recordings of the flxible metro C.s 9200s

    BCT Buses?

  • Well i lm only going to upload the ones that sound the best but i can't upload them one behind the other because even if the sound that 6L71TA and V-731 combination sounds awsome and i miss those Flxibles buses like crazy too much uploads of the same buses with the same engine transmission combination one behind the other can get boring real quick but ill upload another one soon.

  • wow...I can finally somewhat re-live my moments on one of the 9200s...last time I rode one was on the 40 from Central Terminal to Galleria...it was 9216 and it was just before the Flxibles retired.

Now how about a recording of the New Flyer 9700s? I heard they are almost all gone as well...too bad because they have the best bus sounds ever in my opinion

  • I got a few of the 9700's recorded but only one and that's bus #9707 sounds decent enough to upload because i manage to record it with the ac not running the rest were recorded with the ac running.BTW BCT Newflyer bus #9707 and BCT Flxible bus #9301 will be ready to be uploaded next Wednesday or Thursday hopefully.

  • My GOD!!!! THIS IS AN EXCELLENT REXCORDING!!! You a lucky man to catch these buses.....

  • You know when i first started recording these buses with the 6L71 engines i used to think these had 6V92TA engines but with a cooler sound from the transmission until one day bacl in 1995 i made a comment to one of the MDT head of maintance about these buses and all he told me that the 1991,92 BCT Flxibles were using an old engine from the 40's and 50's that was at that time trying to make a comeback on transit buses i didn't know it was a modified version of the old GM 6-71N engine.

  • Wow....it sounds just like the 6V92TA too.....it still sounded awesome!!!

  • i know cause they were making some stupid artic hybrid busses cause i don.t like them at all! so BTW

are you going make some audio of The mta Maryland flxible metro C as well?

  • I wish but i don't get a vacation till next January and i believe that there's only 2 of them left and who knows how long there going to be in service and as for hybrids we got a few of them Nabi LFW 40Hybrids down here in South East FL they got that new ugly face on them and they are most boring sounding buses that i've ever been on.

  • NJ Transit NABI's 416's are biggest pieces of crap that I ever seen. They also very quiet too. I have to hear noise. This BCT Flxible Metro C sounds like a GM 6-71. This Metro C is how a bus supposed to sound. Same as GM Fishbowls Flxible New Look Grumman 870's GMC RTS & all Flxible Metro A to E.

  • I agree BCT has 2007 Nabies with ISL engines and the 2008 Nabies with their funny looking faces 12 of them hybrids but they are too quiet their 2005 models have the same ISL engines but very loud i can't wait for the winter so i could record and film one of them with out the ac running. As for the Flxibles i still can't believe that they are all gone.

  • Yeap .I miss these buses very much but many bus drivers didn't like them because they were very slow on take off.

  • Well theirs sound like it takes off alot faster than ours in baltimore. Alot faster.

  • This bus was recorded in 97 it was only 5 years old so it was still kind of fast on take of but from 2003 onto 07 they had very slow take off and also on take off these were famous for blowing alot of black smoke.I miss this buses agot to record all 16 of them on audio tape but the sad part is that they retired one week before i got my new video camara and never got a chance to film them or any Flxibles down here .

  • Well even though there are only two left, i drive the 9248 often here in baltimore. Dont know y its jus the one they keep givin me. Mabe cause im knew. But ill try to record it. And post it cause i know it wont be here much longer. Still my favorite bus though out of all the flx line up. Just because of the sound it makes.

  • 9232 i ment

  • MTA Maryland Flxible Metro C # 9211 9215 & 9216 had fast take off that i remember when I rode them. MTA 9202 9221 9246 & 9248 were very slow and blew a lot of black smoke. Very good sound effects. Any bus sound their best when they are mess up.

  • Yes they do

  • that.s the same transmission from baltimore maryland until they retire 48 1992 buses
