As the video's writer, producer, director and voice over artist (and I use the latter term loosely), your comment, while correct, stings me just a bit. But look at it this way, by saving money on expensive voice over talent, AirTran gave you a great video and can continue to keep ticket prices lower than its competitors.

The only problem , is Air tran doesnt fly to most locateions I need to go, so I use Southwest. And yes, if you check 3 bags on international flights, it is 120 dollars.. OH thats right!! Air Tran doesnt fly internationally ... Doh!

This is great, and well deserved. Being in the airline industry and being with a background of of making TV commercials, this is a good one. Definition of a good commercial, one part of it would be to remember it, and if you do not remember this one after seeing it, something is wrong. Great Job Airtran...

I could pay 15 bucks to check a bag and pay $50 less for my ticket and be treated well and fly on a nice new plus 717...or i could pay 50 bucks more, check my bag for "free", and then stampede to get on a crappy old 737. Hmm. Less dough for better service...it's pretty easy, really.

Not everyone acts like that on SWA flights.... infact I have never seen any pushing and shoving on ANY of the 100+ SWA flights I've been on. In my opinion this commercial is funny... but not accurate at all.

I think this is a funny response to the SWA commercial. With fares you can get for like $79, even with a $15 bag fee flying on AirTran is still cheaper than SWA. They claim fares starting at $120. Even if you check a bag its $26 more to fly on SWA.

I am going to admit this is funny! however, i don't agree that each Air Line should make fun of another to prove a point. I do say what Southwest did was wrong but i can't say that Air Tran is right either. Thus this leaves only one message which is both Air Lines are not so professionals after all if they are attacking each other like children.

I think both ads are pretty good. My 2 favorite airlines are Southwest and Air Tran (Boeing 717 is gods gift to commercial aviation)

Until a few years ago I would never fly anyone but Southwest but since my first Air Tran flight the have become #1 in my books. Its a shame that they do not have service in the west and I can only fly on them heading east.

Keep it up Air Tran and hey.....Start flying to Salt Lake City or even better there are 1/2 million people in Provo with no airline

ultimately you gotta look at it as competition there will always be someone who favors one airline over another or finds the one flaw an airline has and turns an inch of a problem into a world war, no airline can please every single passenger its just not possible the human nature doesnt allow it the toilet paper could be rough and someone would get mad, ultimately its the price and ultimately ppl are cheap.

why does this matter? South west charges more for a ticket, so the bag fee is there already whether you check a bag or not. The SWA fares start at 120. AirTran starts at $79, and a bag only costs $15 for the first bag ($25 for the second). Let bm do some math for you: if you cary on, you save $41, if you check one bag, you save $26. And, it's still $1 cheaper if you check 2 bags.

I can relate because I used to work as an Ops Agent for SWA----never again! I used to get all the whiners who wanted to preboard and when it was time for general boarding, everyone tried to stampede all at once. It's a matter of preference I suppose. Personally, I avoid SWA now and take Virgin America or Jetblue instead.

I used to fly United and was long time Premier Exec. Not now. Happily I don't fly much anymore andt when I do it's usually Southwest. Almost always on time or ahead, best prices, free luggage, and if you know the system, you rarely have to settle for a middle seat.
