I was introduced to Celldweller about a year ago, then eventually discovered Blue Stahli, and finally found Luna Sequence. And I have to say, its just become one obsession after another. Love this music <3
@infIikkt What? You need vocals? Instrumentals aren't good enough? I prefer instrumentals to music with lyrics. I feel that a lack of lyrics within a song allows the listener to immerse themselves in the music better, it's certainly true for myself. When you don't have lyrics bombarding your ears, it's so much easier to appreciate the music that you're listening to.
@Cystlib I can't say I do. After looking up the genre on Last.fm, I don't recognise any of the artists listed there... I usually listen to metal and electronica, and usually don't deviate much outside those umbrella genres, but I'll look into it, thanks. :)
@PhoeniXephyr The genre has little resemblence to metal or electronica though. It's very hard to describe. But if you don't like the general post-rock bands, you may be interested in the somewhat heavier post-rock bands like Russian Circles, Pelican or Red Sparrowes. You also have post-metal, which is much heavier and sometimes have grunt-like vocals (e.g. Isis). Isis sounds a bit like Tool, maybe you'll like them. You either like this kind of music, or hate it. :P
@Cystlib I listened to Russian Circles and really couldn't get into it... However, I quite liked Isis. I listened to Holy Tears, and it's a little slower than what I usually listen to, it's still quite nice.
@PhoeniXephyr Have you listened to Pelican yet? You can listen to their song 'drought' to begin with. Other post-metal bands are Cult of Luna, Neurosis and Rosetta (all with the harcore-punk-like/growling vocals). You also may like Agalloch, they aren't really post-metal, more like folk/doom metal with post-rock influences.

@PhoeniXephyr Do you listen to post-rock? If you don't, you should give it a try (considering you like instrumental music).
