Best Training I have ever had. After a year of college I joined the Regular Army, where I did Basic and AIT at FT. Benning in 1987. Years later and after the Gulf War I left the Army, completed my education at Ludwig Maxmillian University in Munich, Germany and was allowed to use my GI Bill. I now work for the Federal Government. My time in the military counts towards my retirement and leave time. Going to the Army was the best decision I ever made. Hi school kids, don't wait, do it now!!!

hi, i just joined the Reserves. But even in Army Reserve, you are bound to be deployed at least once. So pretty much everyone gets deployed from what I can gather, National Guards, Reserves, or of course Active. All depends on your unit.
I want to join,but I cant even get passed the Asvab(afqt) test lol...nervous as hell im going in for my 2nd try tommorow......shitting bullets..Wish I can just start in boot camp and get it over with
@RTzombie Yes it's the same. Active Army, Army Reserves, and Army National Guard all go through the same BCT and AIT. ;). My brothers in the National Guard and he went to Ft. Benning, GA for BCT and AIT. He's Infantry. He did the same exact shit the Active guys did.
@AdrianSoliz1...if you are a pussy, don't join the US Army Infantry. Training at Benning is every bit as intense and rough as any marine training! If you think Army training is easy, it would be best for you to remain a boyscout.
Joining 10 years ago was the best decision I made...It brought structure in my life...and now I moved to do other better things after serving 10 years. I am proud to be a part of the US Military.

My brother went to Lawton, OK for boot camp. He's in Louisina now doing some kind of training for FA. Gosh I miss him so much! He's getting deployed to the middle east(i forgot where) next year around march.
Well what makes this better then the marine corps?? 0.o I mean sure different specs but these guys are no less badass then the marine corps and the marine corps are just as badass as these guys. I don't see much of a difference between them, someone wanna give me a hand?
@sk8wise12 well the mariens have a longer and tougher training and they think the army are a bunch of pussies,not all ofcourse,cause the army has a week of reception the marines only 2 days.plus lets not forget about male egos and testosterone
