It's not full HD but hd through an adaptor on the pc port. It's not HDMI now that 's what u want. I read that it's Native 420p (like a tV) but when you go bigger the pic is not so great ok it's crap! The resolution u want is 720p or better. If u want something that's a projector that plays DVDs U need to go for the moviemate 72 it's full HD! Tiger Direct sells it also, it great!
I have one and think its fantastic value. Maybe not the best buy for a fanatical audio/videophile but for the casual user its pretty amazing. It provides a bright image with excellent contrast and the DVD player works well. The only issue with it is the remote is not back-lit which may sound like a small issue but can be very inconvenient if you do not know the button layout. Overall excellent value and if like me you got this after watching your DVDs on a 21" CRT TV you will be blown away.
Please note that while much of the online documentation for this projector states that the aspect ratio of the DLP chip is 16:9 (wide screen) while it is in fact 4:3 (basic TV). This means that when watching DVDs to convert to 16:9 you will lose some of the picture. Not a major issue but something people should know since I was slightly miffed when I first got it. Hopefully the DV12 will be 16:9 with a HD chip. Good value none the less
