That was the strength of the Beatles songs, the definitive versions can be the covers. Joe Cocker's 'A Little Help etc.', Ray Charles' - 'Eleanor Rigby' and of course this one.
@DickusCopernicus very true in some ways. You can't exactly compare Ringo and Joe!!!!!! But their music is still superb even if they weren't the most talented musicians around. Without them we wouldn't have had any of the music that came after them and I don't think anyone could ever match the instrumentation on sgt pepper. But this is certainately superior to the original recording
