If money is tight, how is it that the government is able to fund an extra war in Libya, amongst other things? Answer, by taking everything away from the poor, in the form of taxes and cuts; the working classes are expendable in this governments eyes. If people from non-affluent backgrounds don't vote this government out they will have to get used to the idea of joblessness or inadequate wages, and mountains of personal debt. Say no to a repeat of the Margaret Thatcher years!
FUCK ALL YOU TORY PIECES OF SHIT! WHAT THE FUCK COULD POSSIBLY BE WRONG WITH YOUR RETARDED MINDS!? HOW THE FUCK CAN THE CONSERVATIVES SAVE ANYTHING!!! VOTE LABOUR 2015!!!
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
The tories catalysed Privatisation of the cleaning services allocated to the NHS , diminishing standards on wards inevitably leading to the modern day problematic issue of superbugs such as MRSA .
@toryradio2 well this kinda happens to every government .......I mean why would anybody want to replace a government that is currently sunbathing in the light of economic success?
Conservatives are in bed with Labour. Those 3 main parties are just plain idoits. You say this and that, but fail to do anything. Besides, the Liberal Democrats, its just a safety net. That party was created so that people of dissert Labour or Conservative can join Lib dem, and still keep there pay and pensions.
Labour and Conservatives were created by real British patriots, unfortunately they are long gone, and the people incharge now, are abusing that image, for personal gain.
What a poor ad campaign, no wonder they didn't win after Labour went into a war that no one but...the conservatives wanted. I mean they just rook news paper qoutes from right wing papers, only appealing to their core voters.
Anyway, labour need to return to it's socialist roots, and build a society clement attlee dreamed of, not this business run, rich get richer poor get poorer, high crime and a lack of society.
Conservatives dislike Labour, but they inherited Thatcher's policies.
When government provides EVERYTHING expensive, what's left to build character in life? If life is smooth as all hell with all your expenses covered, never having to save money and work in the long term for a nest egg, for example, it would seem to create a very large culture of lazy citizens who do nothing but pay taxes and vote politicians who give them more and more.
Sure, these socialist states have higher voting rates, but more Americans join parties, interest groups, etc.
Once the citizens get used to these huge welfare states, they just keep asking for MORE: more spending, more programs, more everything. There's no limits to what they expect of government.
Government has turned from a necessary evil (as the Founders proclaimed) to the people's "generous rich parent." I can assure you it's no good for the culture as a whole. It just makes citizens much more selfish.
Also a reason why America has more non-voting political participation.
More Americans are actually involved in the political process and campaign and lobby their representatives than the citizens of these other states as a whole. And why wouldn't these other states' citizens campaign?
I mean, if most of the political discussion in a country is based solely on pet projects, taxes and entitlements and welfare programs, it's a very limited debate. Almost all the candidates are essentially the same, give or take a few big differences party to party.
Britain should just abolish NHS and give people back their freedom. The entitlement mentality of socialist European states and Canada is insane. Because of this, they obviously feel much less "need" to give to charity, since "government can do it all instead."
Ever wonder why the US, the most individualist of these nations, has the highest amount of charitable donations by citizens as a whole?
I mean, how many political parties in Canada or Britain that are well-known actually advocate sweeping reforms to NHS or perhaps even abolishing it? None. How many advocate getting rid of particular taxes and significantly lowering them? None. Even the "conservative" parties are too damn left-wing.
1) How much the tories show their true colours from behind this new veil of 'social and environmental justice'
2) Whether the Sun etc decide to back Labour or the Tories (hopefully the evil bastard Murdoch will continue to back Labour- he says he doesn't think much to Cameron)
3) Whether Gordon Brown will be able to appeal to the lowest common denominator by hiding his huge intellect and instead saying things to please the papers.
true about what the ad said about education in britain. one of my friends came from a high school there and she said education has been absolutely screwed over by the labour party
actually I can assure you that education in the UK has improved year upon year since the Labour Party came to power in 1997. There can be no denying the statistics.
well from what my friends who were at school in the UK say education has basically gone to hell. at her school they had people taking drugs and having sex at the back of the classroom
Conservative Party for 2010, I'm fed up of working hard all year for my wages, then having 40% or more taken from them, and used to fund the smoking and drinking habits of unmarried mothers who claim benefits because they are 'sick'. I am fed up of having to send my children to private school just because I can't trust our education system to get them anywhere in life. Lastly, I am fed up of these useless ideas to sort out the economy, great, I saved 50p on my new toaster, oh joy.
Labour can say what they want but here's the truth: Socialism DEPENDS on high taxes, state intervention, and strong restrictions on the public! Labour can do nothing but leave our nation in shambles they can only promise false hope while they secretly make themselves richer at the expense of the average joe VOTE CONSERVATIVE
Socialism does not depend on high taxes, it depends on proportionate taxes. If you earn a lot, you should contribute alot to society. Tory pigs make me sick. Magge Maggie Maggie OUT OUT OUT
ummm its kinda sad talking about a pollie who was in back in the 80s.
and actually socialism is bullshit because it gives you no incentive to work harder. why bother working hard at school and uni and becoming a doctor if im going to be paid the same amount after tax of a garbage truck drive who works part time and mucked around at school?
I really liked this video. One on Gordon Brown would be more effective. I had a go and it's on Youtube. Hope the Conservative party do an improved version on my video.
When you bring up glossed up images, please talk about Labour before you sully the good name of the party that's been running this country properly when it's been in office for the past 160 years (with the exception of Ted Heath).
Conservative party all the way! I'm fed up of working hard all year for my wages, then having %40 of it taken by the government, and given to unmarried mothers to buy cigarettes and get drunk, labour are too stupid to realize that the middle class actually has it worse off then the lower under them. Having to send my children to private school, because I can't trust our education system, having to lock my car in my garage, the list goes on. Conservative party 2010.
so many comments........ Derek draper has been busy. Cutting comments about vouchers for lap dancing clubs. Remind me of the name of the labour donor who made his money from porn?
Considering Labour is your party, yeah it does. Kinda deserve it don't you? If it wasn't for Labour ever existing, the politics of this country would be much cleaner (just wiht Liberals & Tories & the nationalist parties).
So you're argueing for a centre to extreme right line of parties, with all parties believing in equity, climate change and a collective society abolished (which New Labour don't stand under)
So much for democracy. Labour were st up originially to create an equal society and support the rights of hard working people earning 10 times as less as those who inherit good fortune and wealth.
call me boring, but im getting a bit tired of this Tory-Labour vitriol. Were all British! Partisan politics is far too dominant nowadays, esp on youtube.
Sorry, I think you will find it has been New Labour that has been in power for the past 11 years. They ruined it.
What have New Labour done? I live in Scotland were most of the New Labour's reign they controlled the councils, Holyrood, and Westminister and things have only got worse at best stayed the same but for more taxes.
They were in power at all levels of government so no excuse not to have made things better if thats what they wanted to do!
Every mistake that the labour government have mad Conservative would have made worse. Did u see any polices in that add of just childish snipes at everything labour has tried 2 accomplish if u remembered what the Conservative we like people wouldn't want them back
I don't think the Conservatives would waste more of taxpayers' money and overspend to the same extent which will have bankrupted the country this time next year.
You're right! Labour SPEND SPEND SPEND on all the fucking low class twats who dont work for themselves. The good old tories SAVE SAVE SAVE for a rainy day- they cut back on the NHS, they sack 500 police after claiming to employ and extra 1000, they snatch milk from kids. Truly sickening what the tories do. Fucking right wing cunts
You poms deserve the government you elect! While these chumps stay in government, you will enjoy higher rates of crime, a Britain loosing her place in the world and a situation where you are at the mercy of foreigners and illegal immigrants!
Oh yes the "Good" Old days! What bloody good old days, there was more poverty, and deaths then there is now. So we say thanks also for the misery, and hurt the previous government had caused. Not to mention crippleing almost every single bit of honour and pride we had, selling it off like it was carboard going out of fashion!! Oh lets clap!
The Tories fought a brilliant campaign how the lost i dunno. oh 5 seconds more of him would be too much!!! I'd happily have Mrs Thatcher back least she told the truth.
