  • the live version at donnington kicks ass it actually sounds better then this i mean this sounds good but the live version at donnington sounds better

  • that's what I call true rock n' roll lyrics !

  • pete willis got himself tossed from def leppar

  • if you speeed this up its metalcore.ace

  • In My Eyes Def Leppard Can Do No Wrong! An Eternal Fan!

  • i still think def is pretty good today. Yes different from there early stuff. But artists grow and change over time.

  • @humanspider2007 yh u would say that if u were a dumb blind fuck, i hate def leppard now they fucking suck. sorry but thats the truth as well as im in a bad mood

  • i agree the band went down hill since steve clarks been dead

  • pete willis got himself tossed from the band

  • Steve Clark and Pete Willis had all the talent in this band. When they were gone, it all went downhill musically. Financially, it was the best thing that happened to the rest.

  • @TheHerbmon .........Wasn't Steve Clark still in the band when they had their biggest financial success in 1987?

Unless it was his imposter clone?

  • @theredraven Wiki has a really in depth page on these guys. With a really cool timeline chart.

  • @TheHerbmon Phil Collen was the main soloist on Pyromania so that's a bit unfair considering it was their last balls to the wall rock album. Collen and Clark were great together but I agree the band lost something special when Steve Clark died.

  • My Favorite Def Leppard song.

  • Written by the late great Steve "Steamin" Clark!! Awesome Song!!

  • I pull a lot of all nighters....wasted

  • I grew up on this stuff! My parents raised me right =)

  • @TheLoke666 AMEN!!!!!

  • to grow up during that time was great, loooooove the 80s good weed.

  • @TheLoke666 they were one of my fav bands, then pyro came out.I bought it and I hated every song.i couldnt believe how pop they went.I was expecting a rock record like the previous 2 albums

  • fuck you theloke666

  • meravigliaso brano

  • This is still their best overall album..the very first one! I am their same age and couldn't believe they were 16/17 year olds at this time.

  • Killer album cover !

  • I love everything Def Leppard has ever done, but this is probably the most metal song I've ever heard from them.

  • Their best song

  • One Person Got Too ''Wasted''

  • now i kno why for a while they were classified as NWOBHM

  • 210 to 0 in huge favor of the 'Likes'. Who would not like this one?

  • Wow. This is the first cool Def Leppard song I've ever heard. I need to check out more of ther "proper" metal.

  • @CodyRicheson yeah the old school def leppard music was the best. this was one of the first songsi learned to play on guitar. =)\mm

  • elle a étais faite enn quel année?? In which year she(it) was made

  • @marie789100: Ceci en 1980, et alors la séconde album "High & Dry" est venue en 1981.. à mon avis les deux meilleurs de Def Leppard.. :)

  • @stargazer555 ok merci

  • new video wasted def leppard with shania twain stripping

  • NWOBHM (New Wave Of British Heavy Metal) circa 1979-1984,,long live that era

Still very relevant and innovative/influential to this very day.Always and Forever that Is.

  • @TheLoke666 The rock brigade turned into the pop brigade!Hell I would prob sell out for millions of bucks too. It;s sad. They had talent!

  • @000MrAnderson open ur fukin mind, metal is amazing to me in teh sence that it can do pretty much anything so what def leppard went melodic, i like the heavy raw and screams and blasts as much as i like the soothing and melodicness, or eerie, metal can be anything

  • @danophile07

They are gone now. Pop don't last. They should still be rockin like the grandpas AC/DC.

  • @000MrAnderson There was only room for one Metallica, and Metallica did it much better.. ;O) In the end it did get a bit rediculous, over produced candy corn..

  • @000MrAnderson you cant say everything after the first two albums suck there is still a few hard rockin songs in there

  • @TheLoke666 Lol, I like like them anyways.

  • @TheLoke666 lol. yeah when steve clark died they fuckin lost it all

  • In the eighties every bar band in America played this .

  • the intro sounds like doom

  • Everything Def Leppard made was great right up to Adrenalize, after that it went downhill, they mellowed out way too much.

  • @TheLoke666 You couldn't write a song to come even this close to save your PIECE OF SHIT LIFE

  • if i didnt know they were from sheffield, id swear they were american, this is just the sound of early 80s american metal for me.

  • @dan74275 wOw , come out of your shell DUMMY

  • AH' it's a good thing to be wasted now and then. Like right now for me!!!!!!

  • Def Leppards best song and Hi n dry most rock album, Hysteria disco albm not he(a)llthy

  • i was at the concert in Camden NJ last night and they didnt play this... but it still ROCKED!!!

  • Yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • awesome album got it when released went to see them in 1980 .Best album in imo,2nd album was good and the 3rd but then they pandered to the yanks who like showy pop rock and also the horrible incident which befell ricky allen>( must of had a big impact on what they could play and perform

  • Old Skool, when it was cool to jam Def Leppard

  • They played this at Download 2011, so hopefully they'll be playing it on the tour with Heart. This and Mirror Mirror are the two not-so-popular songs I hope and pray they will play.

  • phil collen is responsible for def leppards pussyness

  • @EXIDEBANDENGLAND bite our tongue, phil collins is a god.

  • @MPV839 Epic facepalm......phil collins and phil COLLEN are different people you fucking idiot

  • @cliffthelightning well aren't you a mean person.

  • yawn. They've been sober for years, and this was from their first album. Whaddya want... band sound changes. That was over 30 years ago. My little brother and I were rockin out to "Rock of Ages" before some of you were born. There's something to like from all their albums.

  • @TheLoke666 They sure got more of it than you did.

  • damn good tuneski

  • B-A guitar Def Leopard

  • Hysteria SUCKS! Def Leppard has sucked for the most part since PETE WILLIS WAS FIRED!

  • @sexydarin1

Hysteria was the best album of all time, so shut up.

  • @sexydarin1

True words. I still have their 1st 2 LP's, the only ones that matter. Saw them open for JPriest on Sat. June 7, 80'. I was 17, front row, those kids were just a bit older and rockin' their asses off. Later that night after the show, my friend and I bumped into Pete Willis at a rock bar called "The Old Buffalo". He was gettin' some cigs from the machine and we approached him. He was very cool and low key, a priceless chance encounter with the guy who had the real DL sound right.

  • @sexydarin1 Not really.

  • @sexydarin1 pete willis got himself tossed from def leppard

  • BRING BACK PETE WILLIS

  • maybe if they weren't so hammered they'd be able to write a better song -.-

  • Wasted was the song our band always opened with.

  • This is when the Leppard was hungry and raw..I love this song...A Rock Classic!!

  • steve clark wrote this

    RIP!

  • def leppard for the win hell yeah! This song brings back memories of the frat days!

  • Hard to believe its Def Leppard! Back when they were young and pissed off before they sang about pouring sugar on all the groupies

  • I agree

  • Well these guys WERE in the NWOBHM right along with Maiden (and more forgettable bands.) Similarities do exist.

Joe Elliott always said he couldn't listen to this album, especially while sober - sure the vocals are not as high and screamy as H&D but I think this album sounds great! His voice would have held out better singing in a more natural range.

  • On through the Night- Amazing

High N Dry- JUst as Good

Pyromania- Beast, still having the same kinda attitude as the last 2 albums, but more poppy

    Hysteria- BLEHHHH X(

  • @Xeivous how can u say that about hysteria? dude hysteria is a killer album, with harder and better guitar parts, adrenalize is killer too!!!!! a true fan sticks with a band

  • @Xeivous All four albums are great.

  • This is a very "Iron Maiden"ish song, which is good, because Iron Maiden is awesome, and so does Def Leppard.

  • their first two albums were their very bast once they got famous and the drummer lost his arm it all changed then steve clark dying just hurt them bad

  • only line i dont like is "i wish i was dead." as long as beer and bourbon exist, life is worth livin!

  • Im 17, im wasted, and this is a tuesday night. ive got school in the morning, and i dont care. im listening to 80s metal all night, i love the 80s. this is the 80s to me, fuck reality, i love the 80s, and i love bourbon and beer! ( yes im 17 and i love bourbon.... what can i say, jim beam is toooooo fuckin smooth,)

  • First 3 albums were solid; then they got neutered

  • @autistic1990 Yeah, but you can still find some good songs scattered in the albums like Hallucinate or Gods of War.

  • Seriously? Def Lep sold out on Pyromania so bad. Wish they woulda stayed with this New Wave of British Heavy Metal sound. Dang. What a shame.

  • @TheGrungeDungeon pyromania was good.....its was their next one that stated the suck phase in their career

  • @sarahjf07 I'm not saying they even "sucked" after High 'n' Dry, but they shoulda stuck with that NWOBHM sound. I actually kinda like Pyro and Hysteria

  • @TheGrungeDungeon def leppard didnt sell out.they always had catchy songs

  • @louiscfc93 DUMBASS! READ MY OTHER COMMENTS.

  • @TheGrungeDungeon maybe i would if you didnt reply like an immature retard

  • @louiscfc93 DUMBASS

  • best def leppard album

  • Hysteria is what made them famous in their own country. Def Leppard is Pyromania and Hysteria. I love all the songs from all their albums. That makes them a "REAL" rock band. R.I.P Steve

  • to bad Def Leppard went downhill with Hysteria. They could have been up there with Maiden and Preist. Too Bad!

  • Love it!

  • thts what i like to see 102 Likes, 0 Dislikes.

    Def Leppard Fucking rocks

  • @NationalSD

    make that 113 likes .....

  • This was my first official Christmas gift album in my stocking in like 1981!

  • THIS DEF LEPPARD LEPPARD IS THE SOUNDTRACK TO MY LIFE

  • Sick choon

  • THIS IS THE REAL LEPPARD!!!

  • DEF LEPPARD---"WASTED"

  • every leppard album is good until hysteria.

  • 0 dislikes!\m/

  • first two albums are my favorites.

  • @pdhudson0311 Totally agree!!!!!!!!!!

  • This entire album kicked ass!

  • Wow I havent heard this song in a few years, kick ass!!!

  • rare solid song from the eightees

  • @/yourunclehank1: Don"t know that band using their name since 83. Good one.

  • i love the old Kenworth semi truck on the cover.

  • Early Def and early Aerosmith are badass hard riff rock that all fuzzy and rough around the edges - then some bonehead like Mutte Lange or the like gets a hold of them and spins then into radio friendly pop-rock - millions are made from the simple-minded masses but the later music from these and other bands really is just pop-junk.

  • the only good def leppard album

  • Some of you are criticizing by saying Def Lep sucked after High N Dry or Pyromania, well I'll give ya my 2 cents worth Pyromania and Hysteria may have been more produced as albums but live on those tours Def Leppard had really come into it's own and had awesome sound. Some of you never saw the Hysteria tour, but let me tell you, they had a killer show. Hysteria was certainly "produced" but the multilayered guitar tracks were great on that album. IMO, Def Lep lost it's way after Hysteria...

  • @Rockywaves73 Def Leppard lost it's way when Steve Clark died I like this album it's but it was sorta generic(not saying thats really) I think when Phil Collen joined as when there 2 lead guiter sound really took off. I Think the twin lead guiter and that they came from the NWOBHM is what separated(maybe put them ahead them from all of the glam pop metal bands like poison Cinderella BonJovie ect. thats how I see it

  • @Spidermankevin78 I can agree with you on that. I think Viv Campbell is a talented guitarist...I mean, before Def Lep he played with Whitesnake and Dio and certainly they rocked but it seems he and Phil don't produce that same edge as Phil and Steve did. Def Lep are still one of my fave bands but it isn't the same for me....maybe because I'm and old man now(37) and remember the Def Lep I really loved from high school days...lol.

  • Comment removed

  • @Spidermankevin78 and to continue for I ran out of room below..lol. Def Leppard paved the way for bands like Bon Jovi...."Photograph" was a hit long before "You Give Love a Bad Name" that's for sure. In my opinion, besides heavier bands like Iron Maiden and Judas Priest who paved the way for other heavier later bands, the early 80s had 2 very important bands....Def Lep and Van Halen.

  • i like the later stuff, its more interessting, this sounds like judas priest, Def Leppard made theyre own sound in hysteria and pyromania, thats why they got huge. im glad they didnt stuck with this.

  • only the first 3 albums mattered..........the rest were wasted!!!!

  • Love this. Along with the first 4 albums.

  • this sounds alot like master of puppets

  • weird how this is almost like a whole different band then def leppard

  • @Ozznize THIS is Def Leppard

Don't know that band using their

    name since '83

  • @yourunclehank1 dude i know. what i meant is that this sounds so completely different than what they made afterwards, such as pour some sugar on me. this is a good rock song pour some sugar on me is just shit.

  • @Ozznize I'm with you. Didn't mean to

come off rude. The first 2 are all I like.

Pour some and Let's just suck are just

    not the same band

  • The 1st two albums are my favorite for sure

  • this song reminds me one of the songs of DOOM the pc game

  • On Through The Night my favorite Def Leppard album, awesome shit, they shouldnt

of kicked Pete Willis out they went downhill but i think they were good until Adrenalize (RIP Steve Clark +1960-1991+)

  • @defleppard741 If they kept that midget Pete WIllis by the late 80's they would have been playing at biker bars and peoples back yards.

  • @EMCEscher i guess you do have a point although i like both Pete and Phil, i think they made a good choice to choose Phil cause hes kickass

  • What happened with this.. the def leppard that is now is something completly differente

  • they were good until they become a genre that I call "mom rock" which is music like bon jovi, def leppard, and nickleback that have an audience of mostly middle aged women.

  • @christimpaler1 "mom rock" lmfao! those "moms" used to be be young hotties in the early days. The Leps have some stories of making it with mother and daughters on some of their tours. haha

  • lol it sounds like doom e1m1 at the start

  • On Through The Night and High N Dry were there Best Albums

  • Amazing! Better than most of the shit they did over the past 15 years

  • the riff Master!

  • what the hell happened here?

  • Wow this is good, way better than that gay radio metal shit they produced later

  • Fuck Iron Maiden. bitch boys.

  • @109Thunder

    MAIDEN RULES !!

  • favorite Def Leppard song!

  • SICK! Def Leppard should've stuck with their On Through The Night and High N' Dry sound. Kind of sounds like Paul Dianno's run with Iron Maiden.

  • @FreakinAwesomeVideos excellent analogy with maiden and dianno,i agree totally. On Through the Night and High and Dry have a raw edginess and 'live' feel to them thats missing on their later and more production driven records.

  • @FreakinAwesomeVideos really i like their first four albums, they've all got their own character.

  • @FreakinAwesomeVideos I love all their sounds!! :D

  • @FreakinAwesomeVideos and pyromania. they sounded awsome in that album too

  • @FreakinAwesomeVideos

I believe Phil was originally going to be Iron Maiden's lead guitarist, I heard that somewhere. Just saying :)

  • @H057IL3 Phil was too glam to play for Maiden, especially way back in the day.

  • @FreakinAwesomeVideos it sure does sound like old maiden...kick ass...

  • @bmitchell358 it sounds nothing like old maiden....

  • @FreakinAwesomeVideos - I completely agree with you on that one! They sound so much more raw when they were doing this stuff. Might have been because of Pete Willis - who knows....

  • MY wiki version of Def Leppard:

Great hard rock band that only released 2 LP's worth listening to, their first 2.

Then they became MTV darlings, poured sugar all over their music and became CACA. Best tune: Wasted. Outstanding talent: Pete Willis.

(Saw them open for Judas Priest on their first US tour, musta been 79', I was 17 and could relate to kids on stage rockin' their asses off. Still have these LP vinyls).
