OMG! From German! I love YouTube. There's an Italian group of young folks who are doing htis music. This is terrific! Naysayers go home! Doo-wop used LOTS of instruments in the hit records, so no trashin' of the instruments. This version has really nice forward motion...A lot of a cappella singers tend to drag and lose momentum. Thanks!!!
@robmk224 I like the harmony in their voices, the energy they have when they sing and play. It tells me they are passionate & enjoy the music they make and I hear that when I listen. Sure, it could be debated as to how to balance the sound of the instruments versus the singers, that happens at every live show, but it'll come down to an opinion, and, as we all know, everyone has one. I like that they are tweaking the song a little to make it their own.
Like many such songs of this era it's a standard G, Em, C, D progression. Capo or just adjust the key to your liking... this is one of my all-time favorites, and a very good version of it. and these folks are from Germany? These European doowop groups never cease to amaze me. :-D
Showaddywaddy did a good cover of this song

this version lacks the harmonics that the origonal has, so I don't understand where you are possibly coming from with that statement
tuske427. Dowop is mainly about singing, and this one's harmonics and singing are basically drowned out by the guitar

I disagree with the naysayers. This is the only other group I've heard do this song justice. Excellent job!
