@elclakema Mike Portnoy supplied all studio drum recordings, sticking to what The Rev had written, except for what was written for Jimmy, which Mike supplied in full (e.g. So Far Away).

Jimmy DID record some drums, but they were nowhere near the recording quality of the final version that Mike played.

Jimmy also apparently only had time to supply vocals (A7X said 3 days) before his tragic death. Lucky they were clean! We wouldn't have this gift of a song, otherwise!

It's really erie because of the last couple of lines "I hope it's worth it, what's left behind me. I know you'll find your own way when I'm not with you."

Shadows is on record saying that The Rev wrote the song and handed a demo of it with piano and rough vocals to the band 3 days before he died. There has been rumour and counter rumour that the demo may be released at some point but the same rumour mongers also said that the band would release Nightmare with Jimmy's drum track also. There are people slagging mike Portenoy off and comparing him to Jimmy but at the end of the day, if it hadn't have been for Mile, there would be no Nightmare albu

@tequiero104 no one that is the point the song fiction was written by the rev it was originally titled death and it was the sapost to be the last song on the album but he passed away before they went into the studio so to pay tribute to they changed the name to fiction (a nickname the rev gave himself) and wrote save me and like 1994YourNightmare said the took the fiction demo enhanced it and put it on the album and if you listen to it you can hear the rev singing the chorus
