STOP IT!! We get it from both sides! Hugs drinks, didn't "graduate" playters, many of whom didn't belong in college (NBA or Prisin), preached family at K-state"Only went to 1 Final Four with all those great players,nd he is is tremendous, generous to a HUGE fault, very possibly the IQ smartest coach in Amateur Sports, being his graduation honors from THE UNIVERSITY.He did K-state wrong that day, but he did what he did and pushed for Frank Martin to stay.We all win.I write, you rewright. Semper Fi.
@sluggur Oh give it up. Im proud of being a bearcat because of huggins. he put us on the map. the man won games and id much rather have him as a coach and win games than have a priest coaching a losing team.
dont delete this....im a WVU fan and this is a great video.....seriously its kinda emotional...if they showed this at like the last home game of the season at ksu it would be amazing
LOL - sure you are, that makes absolutely no sense, that is why I know you are bullshitting. Unless of course, you are married to the cunt that had to feed her ego and destroy the hoops program. Loser.
Not to mention Collins who kept the streak alive himself, plus Jackson, Alrich. Im sure we will need all the "luck" we can get. Its not like we are undefeated @ Bramlage....oh wait
He really fucked over the fans, and michael beasley, but the real fucked up part is not telling anyone he was going to leave and therefore completely destroying any chances of more recruiting (because i cant see Beasley playing here even though he signed an LOI). Even though he came for the assistant, it might be hard for him to play for him aa the head coach instead of fagball huggins.
He didn't tell anyone he was going to leave because he had no idea the John Beilein was going to leave WVU. Yeah, Huggins left you KSU guys high and dry, I feel you. We didn't think Beilein would up and leave us like Morgantown meant nothing to him whatsoever. But can you really blame the guy for following his heart and taking his dream job? He's an alum and he's a native son of West Virginia, if he didn't take the job now, it was probably his last chance of ever coaching at WVU.
I have heard this argument too many times. It is not the place that he went that is making people mad, it the fact that he snuck over to west virginia and didnt even have a press conference or something to tell us he was leaving. He just left without telling anyone, and that it the most rotten part of this deal.
That shows what the chance to coach at WVU meant to him...not that he was planning on doing anyone dirty...He got the offer and jumped at it! Had nothing to do with sneaking anywhere..he had no idea that Belien was leaving WVU.
I think we have a misunderstanding. I am not talking about the fact that he left, nor am i suggesting he had this planned for a while. What i am saying is that after WVU's coach left he started sneaking around, and didn't even have the balls to tell the fans he was leaving. It is like being discharged from the military: honorably of dishonorably. If he had a press conference or something it might have been a little more of an honorable discharge.
True he should've had the respect to at least give his side of the story..but honestly, I think that he may have been afraid that he would reconsider staying....or he may have been too busy packing his bags!!!
Believe me, I feel for you dude.cause he is a good coach and would have served ya'lls program well..but.. I think in his heart, he wouldn't have left for any other school except WVU. He regretted turning down the offer before BEE-LINE came here, and thought this was his last chance to come back to his home. He said that he had tears in his eyes when he walked back into WVU Coliseum !!!
