An objective point of view? It sure doesn't seems like it, you seem pretty set on Jack's Joker. I personally see the movies as completely separate pieces of art. The movie's in the 90's were more of a Tim Burton fantasy world. The new Batman movies are straying from the cartoon land of the original movies and going for more of a real life look, making it seem relatively possible for an actual human to do what he does.
How can you say my point of view is not objective when I haven't even done the comparison? This is the EXACT kinda thing that lead me to post in the first place. I wish people would stop jumping the gun.
Oh, and people need to stop saying Burton's take was "cartoony." If you remember anything about it, Burton brought Batman from the 60's campy version BACK to its original dark roots. It also INSPIRED the dark toned animated series, wasn't pulled from it.
Actaully Nolan's Batman world is widely considered more realisitic and gritty and serious. Some people like that about Nolan's Batman films but some people hate that about his films. On the subject at hand, I'm a huge Jack fan(as if my name didn't give that away)but Ledger's Joker was just better in every way. Jack was still great though but in a different way.
If you're defining realistic by terms of that which could possibly happen, there is no WAY Nolan's is more realistic. The ONLY thing that Nolan's Batman world has on Burton's is that Nolan makes his movies twice as long and thus gives him more room to fledge out backstory. Explaining how things come to pass is the only reason Nolan's films come off as more realisitc. If TKD was released before Begins, it would've been regarded as just another unrealistic action packed flick.
Since comic book characters aren't real, there is a chance that the stories can be 100%realistic, of course...
You said Nolan's is more plausible. Now, tell me why. Could it be... exactly what I said? He extends his movies to include a lot of backstory elements?
Yeah, I think that's it. Otherwise, the terms of plausibility seem to be about even.
Just in case you didn't notice, no one agrees with you so I'll give it to you...you're right and I'm completely wrong. I messed up. I should of known that you know all the details. YOU'RE THE MAN!:-) So what's next for you? NOTHING!
...like I said...that's you're understanding of the Joker! It saddens me that you'r too slow to understand. I gave my opinion on it and that's all I'm gonna do. I'm not gonna go far with it coz I'm not desperate about it. So therefore, I don't have to support my agrument with evidence and neither did you. It's something I know and for you to find out since you're so ignorant.
In other words, you're just running your mouth and really have nothing to say. You can't support or defend your position, but you disagree with me and want SOME way to insult me. Got ya...
You definitely could've done a lot better than that, though. Come on, that was pretty weak.
Oh, and you're not desperate about it, but you keep coming back here... Yup. Everyone believes that. Haha.
NIGGA PLEASE!!! You obviously don't know the real Joker from the DC Comics. All you know is Hollywood. Jack Nicholson's Joker is a fake! Hollywood fucked all that up and got the real story of Batman twisted. I was always disappointed in all the 4 Batman movies but when Batman Begins came out, the story finally came out right especially about the Joker. The real Joker is a psychopath, insane, mind-twisted evil mastermind from the DC Comics & Heath Ledger plays the exact character of the Villan.
"NIGGA PLEASE!!!" Yes, you have street cred now, boy. Haha! I have read a few comics with the Joker in them. Jack's seemed to stack up well. As far as Hollywood f'ing the story up? I heard they didn't get it right in "Begins," either. They f'ed up Ra's' character, apparently. Not to mention, the Joker DOESN'T PAINT his face... So, no more of this "They got the story right ESPECIALLY with the Dark Knight." Two-face's beginning was just as f'ed up as Jack's Joker killing Bruce's parents.
I hear "The Killing Joke" is one of the most widely regarded works in describing the character of the Joker. I've read that and a few other works, and feel I have a pretty good understanding of the character. Nicholson's interpretation was very good. I suppose I'll have to make a video showing why his interpretation was good, seeing as how the recency effect has caused most people to forget what Jack's Joker actually did.
...well that's your understanding of the Joker coz like I said "YOU ONLY KNOW HOLLYWOOD" Real Batman fans like myself, my friends and others know the character of the REAL JOKER from the DC Comics & Heath Ledger did just that in playing the role. You said it yourself...you read a "FEW" comics of the Joker and that right there shows how less you know or maybe how you don't know at all of the "REAL" Joker so what are YOU SMOKING ON? Get your facts right. For the last time...DO YOUR HOMEWORK!!!
The real Joker is evil and doesn't look pretty like your Jack Nicholson's Joker coz evil never puts on a fashion show with clean hair cuts and perfectly applied make up. The real Joker is a psychopath and the physical appearance of the Joker played by Heath Ledger exactly fits the discriptional character of the Real Joker. Heath Ledger's Joker made Jack Nicholson's Joker look gay.
There is no real Joker. The make-up is because no one turns perfectly white, green, and red from being bleached in chemicals. There is no EXACT physical description of the Joker. The character's had multiple artists, all portraying him in their own way as far as physical stature goes. As good as Heath's was, I doubt anything can make Jack's look gay. After all, he was very intrigued by the ladies... and boy did he know how to pick 'em. Kim Basinger '89 > Maggie Gyllenhaal all night, baby!
...like I said...Hollywood fucked up the Joker's character and that there has lead your confusion into saying that there is no real Joker. Statistics show that Heath's Joker completely made Jack's Joker look gay. READ THE COMICS! AND MAKE SURE YOU'RE READING THE RIGHT ONES.
Get it through your head... The Joker is an IMAGINARY CHARACTER. There is no confusion. That's how it is. The Hollywood you speak ill of is the same one that produced Dark Knight and f'ed up Two-face's story and Joker's "facepaint."
Where are these "official statistics," by the way?
You can say "do your homework" until the cows come home. You have not supported your arguments with evidence. So, tell me why I should sit and read comics all day, like you and your friends.
You Sound Ignorant as Fuck G. Do Yourself a Favor a Take This Video Down. Obviously You Never Read The Fucking Comic Books Because Heath Ledger's Joker Is The Mothafuckin Joker of The Comics So Shut The Fuck Up. And Nicholson Wasnt The Only Choice He Just Got Picked Because They Needed Big Named Stars For Comic Based Movies Back Then. You're Fucking Stupid. This Is a Movie For The Comic Fans. Jacks Joker Was Based off The 1966 TV Show. Fuckin Clown, STFU.
Oooh, got a live one here... WHY SO SERIOUS, guys? Haha. You're right, I don't read Batman comics all day. Ya know who else didn't? Heath Ledger. :] Didn't seem to be a problem then, and it certainly isn't now. Just sayin'...
Oh, and Jack WAS the only choice. Bob Kane said so himself. Jack Nicholson's joker was more of a relief from the 1966 TV version, not based on it. So, speaking of sounding ignorant as f' "G"... way to take that over for me. I appreciate it. :]
next time you wanna make a fool our of yourself on the internet by posting a stupid video, take your own advice: "until you see the movie, shut the FUCK UP!"
When are you going to upload the comparison? I'd like to see that.

Well, I have, and I willagain, that's how. I mean, you have the freedom to post your "objective" point of view, i have the right to call you on it.
Obviously your definition of objective is a bit skewed, so let me educate you a little here:
Objective: undistorted by emotion or personal bias
This video is very, lets say, UNobjective.
You referred to Jack as "my boy jack", you obviously have some sort of liking towards Jack's Joker. Case closed.

The Killing Joke was made in the 80's. Ledger's Joker is based on the early 40's comics.
JNicholson77 3 years ago
It was also based on some of the "newer graphic novels" aka The Killing Joke.

Actually Nolan gave Ledger many of the original 40's Joker comics to read to prepare for the role. Just thought I'd mention that.
