  • he's cute!! yum

  • same story

  • hey same as me....after i graduated with a degree, i realised i wanted to do something else....i wish i dont make the wrong move....

  • what schools are good, if I want to be an apprentice pastry chef?

  • @anadyke13 met a lot of people who have had a good experience with the french pastry school in chicago and kendall college in chicago. in the field i've met people who have gone to cia and have hated it. it's almost 50 grand, 12 months of training 4 months of internship and another 8 months of training. it's all chopped up. most of the kids out of le cordon bleu are bitter. why? i wish i knew. most of them end up leaving the field.

  • Now I'm not letting anyone tell me what I should be, I wanna be a pastry chef, I'll have to be an apprentice first of course... gosh I wish I've done this earlier, right out of high school... Now I'm 23 and a half... I could have been doing this for 5 years now! But I'm glad it didin't take me another 10 years to figure out what I want and should be doing! I'm going to chef school! yay!!! :)))

  • yeah man I was 23 when I started to be on the tract to being a pastry chef. Im just now at the age of 25 almost 26 and im now just looking into schools to go to to broaden my creativity. Not gonna lie though its a very hard life. I had to sacrafice so much.

  • @roach420nh Yeah I am almost 23 and I am currently in a culinary arts program, but from what I hear this will just get my foot in the door and then I have to apprentice with pastry chefs. Oh well at least its something. This gave me a whole new motivation for being a pastry chef the main reason I was wanting to do it was to be creative and to make people happy with sweets lol. How come you think something about a career and then it totally becomes something way way different?

  • I decided to become a pastry chef :)

I wish I've gone the OYAP way... but I didn't... I went and became an administrative assistant because back in high school I couldn't figure out what I wanted really, and was convinced by my parent that i can al least get a nice little office job.. and so I did, and I regret doing that. :(

  • Dude i with you all the way i'm tryin just like you

  • My story is similar!!
