  • Nicole Nordeman and Chris Tomlin ALWAYS make me feel God in my heart. Their songs just make me think about the depths of my faith. Although they're wonderful, I know the they're not what it's all about, they're God's servants, just like you and me. Sad that not everyone knows how much God has done for them.

  • I've felt, seen, and experienced too much, way too much to doubt and abandon my Jesus. Let the world say I'm wrong. Let them think I'm crazy. I don't care. Because Jesus is only One I know is real. The rest aren't constant, but Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forevermore. AMEN.

  • I hope the doubters will find Christ.

  • just sometimes you have to believe

  • Lyric: "What if the arms that catch you, catch you by surprise?" Me: "But I have so many problems. Lyric: "What if He's more than enough?" Didn't bother to say anything else at this point. Lyric: "What if there's Love?" The Lord had been trying to speak to me all night and finally he spoke directly through this song.

  • I am not making this up. As I was watching the video, I see the words read the lyrics, and I'm like "okay" -starts to get distracted- on the video "Close your eyes if it helps" My thoughts: "I don't know what to do" Lyrics: "What if there's more?" Me: "But I don't feel like I have any hope." Lyric: "What if there's hope you've never dreamed of hoping for?" Me: "I don't know what to do." Lyric: "What if you jump and just close your eyes?" Me: "But I don't know what's going to happen."...

  • @NateK314 I literally had goosebumps reading your post. Because these are exactly the kind of questions that storm every listener, even the most devout. Faith, just pure solid faith is the only way to address these questions..

  • @hecdc Thanks! It was just so cool though cause I had so much on my mind and the Lord usually just speaks to my heart. But I just didn't know how to handle everything and was so overwhelmed, then by "What if He's more than enough" I got it. And that's all I've done this week. I listened to a sermon about how we need to focus less on doing and more on Him and in the end our love for Him will pour out to the world. That's pretty darn powerful, "He's more than enough".

  • i love this song!!!

  • I love this song.

  • There is no god...

    Only Doubt.

No proof ever in 2000 years.

  • @Lioneljoe its never been proven against in 2000 years.

  • I see that many people are saying. What if religion can take you to eternity or what if certain gods or beliefs can be the right way?

There is only one way, one God, and one way to the Father and that is through Jesus Christ..the only way to get to heaven is by faith in Jesus. Jesus is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. He doesn't demand your love or worship and you don't need to offer a sacrifice, burnt offering, or any other external practice.

He did it all on the cross for you!

    =]

  • I like this song a lot but it sounds especially good when it's playing on the radio inside my car! I first heard it playing on WGTS 91.9 while I was driving to work.

  • @noforbiddenrights to your comment on what if the Christian belief is the one that's wrong and another religion being right, I say this: if I am wrong and for instance I believed in reincarnation, it won't matter since I would come back in a different body. If I'm right (which I am) I get to spend eternity in Heaven with the creator... Think I'm gonna go w/ the second one : )

  • I very much doubt Christ spends an inordinate amount of time sadly contemplating the hellacious destiny of the many who will ultimately incineratorily pay for their crimes against God. I'm certain He doesn't enjoy the thought or the reality of people being damned (in light of Christ's sacrifice), but at the same time Christ never mentioned feeling remorse when telling the unbelievers He never knew them before casting them into the darkness...

  • i luvvvvv this s0nq iht iz a beautiful s0nq and i qeh waterey eyes listenin2tiz s0nq bkuz i hve s0 many relitivez nd frndz tht dnt believe in christ ='(

  • @findingmyway2u keep them in prayer. i completely understand where you are coming from!!! be bold in Christ and i will keep you and your family in prayer keep your head up!! dont give in and dont give up God bless

  • @findingmyway2u I got watery eyes trying to read your misspelled trainwreck of a comment...

  • @noforbiddenquestions ahaha =) iq0h water eyes lauqhinq aht yur c0ment =p

  • What if I'm wrong? What would I lose? Nothing. The Bible has taught me more lessons about being a good person and wisdom than I could have ever learned anywhere else, and saved me from doing plenty of things I would've regret.

But what if someone who doesn't believe is wrong? What will they lose? It's possible they may have missed out on good lessons from the Bible. But more than anything, they lose eternity.

  • @elaineb5 What if you're wrong about Islam, Judaism, Hinduism, Zoroastrianism? What about some interpretation of Christianity different from your own? People act like Pascal's Wager is automatically an argument for their own personal beliefs, but that just doesn't make sense. Your beliefs could be wrong too. You could be missing out on eternity as defined by some other religion.

Fact is, "meh, might as well" just isn't how we ought to figure out what's true and what isn't.

  • @noforbiddenquestions what is the 'truth' then? thx

  • @leftpuman As far as I can tell, none of the religions I've heard of are right. None of the gods I've heard of seem likely to exist. I'm not claiming certainty that there are no gods, but it seems like the most likely explanation for the reality I see. I'd rather use observations, evidence, and logic to try to figure out the truth, and say "I don't know" when I honestly don't, then claim answers just for the satisfaction of having some answer.

  • @noforbiddenquestions

I'm not trying to start an argument, I just want to ask you a question... If there is no God then how did all of this get here? And don't say stuff started forming from bacteria that was on the planet or something like that...because then I will ask: Where did the planets come from? Where did space come from? Again. I'm not trying to make you mad.

  • @LoverofWyrd Now onto Homophobia. True christians should not be homophobic and our God does not condone this. It's true that we don't like what they do.. but that does not mean that we hate the person who does that. God tells us in no uncertain terms to love everyone. Jesus himself ate with sinners, do you think among those sinners, not one of them was gay? I don't know any gay people but a friend of mine knows one and friends with them. Our God does not condone homophobia and neither do we.

  • @LoverofWyrd As for infanticide in the ancient roman cities this ran rampant and if it weren't for Christianity we might still be practicing it today. I'm not sure where you got misogyny out of the bible but often when the word of God came to people in different countries (e.g. Africa) the woman actually asked if it was written by a woman since their lives were better after both them and their husbands believed in it.

  • @LoverofWyrd it's true that analogy was flawed but I'm not perfect and neither are my analogys. About the matter of a rapist and the forced union between him and his victim, there is a verse; Exodus 21:16-17 that says if the father absolutely refuses to give his daughter to the man the rapist must still pay the bride price but does NOT get his victim in marriage.

  • So if you confess with your mouth and believe that Jesus died for us all then you should not doubt where you will be when he comes back for us or even if you should get the chance to meet him before he does!

  • Christianity isn't a religion. It's a relationship between God and his children (that's everyone). God is hurt when his children turn away from him, or doesn't accept his gift of life because He loves them, just like any parent.

  • @LoverofWyrd If a serial killer is sentenced to death you do not call the people who sentenced and punished him vengeful. That's justice. When you speak of God's jealousy are you reffering to the verse in exodus that states " you shall not bow down to them or worship them for I the Lord your God am a jealous God..." God is only jealous of other gods or idols in your life because he loves you so much. If any of this is not what you meant PLEASE tell me what you actually mean.

  • @outilssa Indeed. However, I find it disgusting to hear innocent children being compared to serial killers. I also cannot condone rape, nor the forced union between a rapist and his victim. I do not support genocide, infanticide, filicide, misogyny, homophobia, ethnic cleansing, or a myriad of other atrocities. I do not think humans have any excuse for these. If there is some all-powerful, all-good being then why should I tolerate these things from him?

  • @LoverofWyrd A true christian doesn't "do good" in the expectation of a reward. We do it to show our thankfulness for Christ's great sacrifice. When you say He is a jealous and vengeful God which parts are you referring to? Often when there is killing or punishment in the bible it is an instance of God's justice. These people have comitted a crime or sin that is against God's law, and they have already had quite a few chances to turn away.

  • @outilssa Very well said, you touched on a key point which is that Christianity is not work-righteous

  • lol this song makes me laugh. Logic seems to be lacking in this particular circle

  • nice song, peace to you!

  • great song i enjoyed it (beautifully sung)

  • My Miracle is my baby. I never thought it would ever happen.. But I kept praying. This will be my first known pregnancy. Please pray for me and the health of my baby.

  • @AvalonMulhaul Congrats on your pregnancy..Jesus hears our prayers!

  • Only have one of her albums, and I haven't listened to it for a while, but this makes me want to listen to it again. Thanks for putting this on Hannikay!

  • Religion is silly.

  • @niltomega So is a lot of things in this world. But giving hope to people that there are better things than what happens to us this life is not silly. Is it slly to give hope to someone with cancer? Some day you might just start praying for someone you love.

  • @niltomega I agree. But my relationship with Jesus isn't. Not to sound cliche or anything :)

  • @niltomega You're right! it is! Thank God that we are given the true doctrine of salvation and a real, living God from amidst this world of false idols and temptations!

  • @punksush1 I guess it depends on your appetite for delusion. Yours seems robust!

  • in this world everything meaningful and great was put together by a creator. A song, play, look, device, cure, a pleasure, structure, and wonderful works of art. How much more the universe and yourself? This too shows a creator.

  • @LoverofWyrd..

Don't see the point in burning for any reason. If you wanted to go to hell just to "make your point" that you don't like God's rules, what's the good of that? It's not going to bother anyone that you are stuck in eternity somewhere you will regret being instantly.

  • @HanniKay It is going to hurt the Lord because he love you so much he can hardly stand the thought of you even being sad much less tormented for eternity but he gives you the choice.

  • @JBrtn85 , Oh of course... He sent His Son, and it will hurt Him that LoverofWyrd or anyone doesn't accept what a huge sacrifice that is. But "making a point" sure is a useless thing to you, and in the end, only detrimental to yourself!

  • @HanniKay Nobody is going to burn forever! There is no supporting scripture for that! Study it out, don't believe everything you've been taught. What a monster God must be according to most religions if God really burns forever. . . won't happen!!

  • @HanniKay My decision is not based on "making a point." My decision is based on the understanding that doing good in expectation of a reward has little virtue. Furthermore, in reading the bible, I find far too many instances of a jealous, vengeful god that I want nothing to do with. As for Jesus, I find the fact that he was crucified pitiable, but I feel no compulsion to join the religion named for him. I would much rather live a life of learning and virtue for virtue's sake.

  • @LoverofWyrd God is not capable of jealousy or revenge. You interpreted it wrong. He has to be righteous, it's His nature. He is sinless! You don't even need to understand OT, just understand the doctrine of salvation and the 4 gospels. Jesus didn't want to start a religion, in fact He hated religion. There were religions being made at the time he was even alive who were worshiping false idols. Jesus said "Here is the truth, become it." Not "Here are many religions with different truths"

  • @punksush1 To be a christian is to say that you follow Jesus and by relation the god he worshipped. While many christians prefer to only look at the new testament, most will agree that their god is eternal and unchanging. This means that his attitudes set down in the old testament must still stand. The fact that the religion of christianity can applaud the actions of the old testament is extremely reprehensible. I will not be a part of any movement that does this, nor would I worship that god.

  • @HanniKay The only people who believe in heaven are the ones who THINK they're going there.

  • @99rangeduh Might we not say the opposite as well: "The only people who do NOT believe in heaven are those who are afraid the other place just might exist?" And that's not a very comfortable alternative...

  • @HanniKay I heard one scholar (Hank Hannigraff) hell is really going to be you live for eternity, except you will never be with God ever. It was your choice. You will miss his glory, his holiness, his son Jesus, the apostles, and the glorious angels.

  • @HanniKay When we see the world through Jesus' eyes, it should break our hearts when people go to hell, and it should drive us to witness to people who aren't saved yet.

  • @HanniKay well you find me 1 Christian that follow God's rules and then we will talk and i mean the ones God said not to add or take away in the First 5 books. until then i dont care about the Pauline Christian guilt trip of Jesus died and resurected for the sins of the world and that the only way. When Even Jesus Christ did not agree with this! Just Saying

  • @LegendKillerJustin It says in the Bible NO ONE except for Jesus is without out Sin. We Christians and non-Christians sin every day. It is impossible for us to not sin. God said to follow me WE are to lay down our life for him. That means TRYING not to sin,Loving others more than yourself,Giving of your time and abilities to help others,Feeding and clothing the poor, feeding the hungry This is what measures if you Love Jesus and are a christian. NO ONE Is perfect and we will fall short everyday

  • heard this song for first time today. it made me cry. because this is what goes across alot of folks mind....what if you serving this God and then...faith is so hard to have when ya now starting out.

  • It is a beautiful song, but Pascal's Wager doesn't do it for me.

  • 4 people thought that the dis-like butten meant DIS I LIKE!

  • very nice and true song!! Thank you Nichole:)

  • What if this isnt love and all just a mind game to play?

  • This is quite the pretty song, but my aversion to christianity is based more upon principle in regards to the Bible itself. If I'm wrong in my polytheistic beliefs, I'd rather burn for eternity than serve Yahweh. Better to be damned and do good for the sake of good.

  • @LoverofWyrd you would rather burn on a principle you are not entirely sure of??? sounds pretty stupid to me......just sayin

  • @LoverofWyrd But what if your wrong?

  • @JBrtn85 Then I burn. I will not take up any religion merely to be rewarded for good behavior at the end of my life. This life is beautiful and magnificent. There are so many things to experience and countless paths to take. With such a limited time, I would rather work to make myself and others happy than to embrace the principles that define the god of christianity and judaism.

  • Amen, If I am wrong about heavan and hell. I have nothing to loose, I will just die and lay there to rot. But what if your wrong? An eternity in Hell is what happens if you are wrong....... I am saved, a child of GOD and thankful for it... I have the hope. I have the faith. I love Jesus Christ.

  • I always cry to this song too> Well i cry to all her songs i have heard!

  • This song broke me down in tears today.

Constantly those questions get thrown towards me,

"What if this..." & "What if He's...."

As I sat and thought about these words, I realized...

there are no 'what ifs' with God.

    There's only "He IS."

  • What if hes more that is the question for every one of us that is breathing this very moment, WHAT IF YOUR WRONG''' ''' ''' and hes more then you could ever dream of or think of, try him hes awesome much love to Nichole for her anointed voice of praise form Sister Diane.

  • I'd just advise your friend to listen for God--you can't force people to believe. And you shouldn't shun them for not doing so. That would be the example of the Pharisee. Care, be there, and love, and God will come to her in his own time.

  • i like all of nicole;s songs im a celebration international youth member frm, philipines and some of nicoles song is our prasing song in our church and so with don moen

  • "What if you jump, just close your eyes - what if the arms that catch you catch you by surprise" One of the best lines in any song ever. Even among those who say they love God, so few TRUST Him enough to close their eyes and jump into His arms. God give me strength and faith to do your will always, with no parachute; no net; and no backup plan - no matter what.

  • @megalonzerg Those words SAVED MY LIFE! This song is on my list of songs I want played @ my funeral. Everytime I hear it, it sweeps me up as the first time I heard it. Glorious words!

  • how i wish my non-believer friends could hear this song and really see how much risk they are taking by not believing.

  • @rejoicesify - nonbelievers dont see it that way. Trust me. There have been millions of religions throughout human history and each is entitled t look at everybody else and say "what if you are wrong?"

But that's not going to convert you to the Norse gods and it will not convert me to yours

  • I was listening this song and it just reminds me of how important my faith is to me. I have multiple faithless friends, but I always hope that God will show Himself to them. Praise the Holy Savior and His awesome sacrifice. He has saved us, the wretched sinners. Let us all praise Jesus in the glory He deserves! Amen and God Bless!

  • Hey, when is she coming back? It seems like she was put on freeze by EMI at a critical point in her career and right as she started writing some good articles for CCM. We need more female writers like her, she actually used her God given brain.

  • Great song!

  • He does exist and i am a fool!!! a fool for God and that makes me happy and assured. its ok to question, God wants us to. and thats part of the beauty: all of His power and creations are so awesome that we cant understand it all

  • 1st Corinthians 1;18 = For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.

  • Nice quote devoceans------

To those who doubt or even flat out don't believe in the existence of God I ask: Do you think in your heart of hearts that all of this "just happened"? I think it takes an even greater faith to believe that than to believe in a creator.....

    peace to all :-)

  • AMEN!!!!

  • what if your wrong? I would ask myself,"Why is this Jesus on the minds of all? Why do most other beliefs agree to bash Christianity? If Jesus were a fake, he would have fallen off the face of history in obscurity. Still here, still changing lives..... Why cant others see there is no lack of interest about this good man, man man, liar. If he were any of these, You wouldnt be here admiring/bashing. JESUS IS LORD

  • God can only do what you allow Him to do in your life. He will not override you.He can do anything if you allow Him to.

  • this is a great song!

  • Thank you so much for posting this. I can listen to it until maybe I buy a disc or the track from an online store. I just heard it first yesterday afternoon and I love it. So inspiring for me right now.

  • i to need help and advice b/c my friend wants nothing to do with God I got her to come to my youth group but i feel like she just sat there and tuned it out ugh i'm so confused!!!!!!! help please

  • It natural for them to want nothing to do with God, there are lot of people showing bad examples out there, but it is YOUR job to be a good example, and show how you are different to all her other non-christian friends by letting God's life and love shine through you. Keep loving her, being her friend and acting with joy that God has given you.

Keep praying for her, but don't pressure her into coming to youth group etc. Tell her she's welcome and you'd love her to come, but then leave it.

  • God asks us to spread the good news of His love, and gift of salvation. You are doing that. It is our job to plant the seeds but God is the one who can make the seed grow. Only God can open their eyes to the truth.

You just keep letting Jesus live his life through you, and God is in charge of the rest. :) Hope this helped.

  • @HanniKay @dioschica2013 Hannikay is absolutely right. We can pray for your friend, I believe in prayer. You keep on planting seeds, and the best thing is to be happy in your own faith and thankful, and she'll see that in you. Keep letting Jesus live HIS life thru you. That's perfectly said @hannikay.

    ~KaTsMeO~

  • pray every night for 30 days for your friend to find God believing they will. Also whenever you can work it into conversation tell her what God has done for you in that moment, day or your life.

  • You cant use force. You have to let them make their own decisions. God gave us free will to choose between right and wrong.

  • sin does exsist if it didn't then we would all be perfect and we woundnt have to go through devistation. but since it does we have to go through all of it. Thats why god sent his son to die on the cross for us.

  • Hey Nk.. thats your 'take' on it.. Jesus didnt die FOR ME.. dude, that was 2000 years ago.. Im here NOW and the NOW is all we have .. meditate on that

  • um i don't really Know what to say to that doumbeck except i am very sorry and very sad that you feel that way that i actually want to cry can you please tell why you believe this

  • I know you probably don't really want to here this from me since your probably much older than me but i have cerebral palsy and I'm extremely blessed to be alive that is only one of they many and i do mean many reasons why I Believe

  • @Doumbeck sorry dude i was there too and said the exact thing but then i realized He may have died along time ago but not even death could hold Him back He came back and is very much alive right now and is willing to handle all of my "here and now"

  • Man you've got it mixed up, Jesus may have died 2,000 years ago, but he died for the people of the past, present, and the future, when Jesus was dying on the cross he knew the exact day, the exact second you would be born, and he knew you would sin, everybody sins including christians, so he willingly died so we could be forgiven. look at it this way, if you have a car that was paid for by your dad in the 50's its still your car... Next comment...

  • Continued... Just because you didn't pay for it, and just because it was paid for way back in the 50's, that doesn't mean the car isn't yours, and it doesn't mean its not paid for... Jesus may have paid the price of forgiveness over 2,000 years ago, but the fact is the price has been paid, why not benefit from it? God bless you.

  • well said : )

  • Thank you :)

  • actually.... THANK YOU! if it's ok with you, i'd like to use this example... one of the best I've hear so far :)

    Rock on & GOD Bless

John 3:17 - short version~ "For GOD did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him"

  • Well your more than welcome! Thanks for the replies, they definitely brightened my day :) God bless you and everyone reading this :)

  • u got evidence of god

  • Yeah.... I "got" evidence... by way of faith and "many" miracles :))

    Have a Blessed Day

    Peace

  • @IllbeseeingyouHB This comment is a year old, I know, but for your sake and the sake of the internet I just wanted to tell you that quotation marks don't indicate emphasis in standard use. The way you've used them here, it sounds like it's indicating sarcasm, the way you might write, 'That "holy" book of yours sure has a lot of genocide and rape in it!' It looks like you're saying that you *don't* have evidence and there are few or no miracles in your understanding.

  • @noforbiddenquestions LOL, you seem to be entirely more interested in grammar and usage rather than, say, religion or philosophy! But go get 'em, Sugar! The English language has been pitifully debased thanks to the internet, texting, etc., etc., etc.

  • Patrick, look all around you! God(YHWH) loves you so very much. He gave you life, love and He(Jesus Christ) even died on a cross so that we sinners would never again have to be separated from his love . He is the most loving, caring, being that has ever existed. Just give him a chance, ask him to reveal himself to you, and be amazed!! He is amazing.

  • @patrickledford420 yeah, Genesis 1:1 first sentence of the bible: God created the heavens and the earth. So just look at a cloud or blade of grass. Then look at your clothing or your watch or something and think "someone had to have made this, even though i can't see who did it, the evidence is right here that it exists". This is called general revelation.

  • yes, and amen. (: thanks for that (y) reminder.

  • @dioschica2013 There was a boy in our children's ministry who had no father, several siblings and a mother receiving welfare. He acted out most Sundays. We mentored him by just letting him know how much God loves him and what Jesus did to save him. He seemed to get it, but then revert back. His family then moved. I just got a report that he is heavily involved in his teen church group, is an honor roll student in high school and has made Jesus his forever friend. We just plant seeds for God.

  • @ramseymarkf that's amazing!! :D i'm very excited to hear that! no matter what, keep spreading God's love!!!!!!!

    :D:D:D:D:D

  • @dioschica2013

you too! All we can do is plant seeds for Jesus - God gives the increase, take care...

  • Dear commentor,

I suggest that you not get nervous or afraid that your friend does not care. There are many people out there that probably care much less than your friend. Do not be afraid, for God is with you, always.

I think you should talk to more counselors/ youth group leaders, ask them to help you understand how to bring people to Christ. Remember, it is our job to spread the word by walking in love and showing it to those around us. Don't worry, the seed of Christianity has been planted

  • @dioschica2013 I met my best friend when I was 12. Her mother is Jewish and her father is methodist. They are divorced. Each parent wanted her to practice their religion. My best friend was super confused, and everyone in our very small, conservative Christian hometown told her that she was going to hell.

  • @dioschica2013 At 13, she turned her back on Christianity because so many "Christians" had said terrible things about her and her mother. At first I was really confused and had no idea what to do. Then, with the guidance of my youth minister, I decided to be her friend WITHOUT an agenda. I didn't beg her to come to youth group. I didn't tell her that she needed God in her life. I was just her best friend. And she was mine.

  • @dioschica2013 We went through high school. My faith is a really important part of my life, so of course I talked about my own walk with God with my best friend. I listened to her talk about her confusion and defended her when people in our town said nasty things. She started talking about "mean Christians" and "cool Christians." The "cool Christians" were the ones who really loved her.

  • @dioschica2013 We went to college. I went to a small Baptist college and she went to a "hippie school." She majored in religion. She started talking about spirituality. She became fascinated by Christian responses to social justice issues. She became fascinated by Jesus. She started thinking, "What if this really cool, great teacher actually is who he says he is?" and "What if I don't know, but I live my life like he is?"

  • @KGS1188 And she decided that she wanted to follow that really crazy radical teacher/Son. Ultimately, she decided to follow Jesus becuase she was gently pulled, not pushed. While it started with me, in the end, she was surrounded by people who lovingly gave her the freedom to seek God in her own way in her own time. And she did. Her journey looks very different from mine, but it is just as beautiful and genuine. I think maybe just really, really loving people is enough.

  • @dioschica2013 your friend has a right to choose what she wants to believe in.

  • @dioschica2013 by making sure to be a good person and being nice(not a pushover though) and by helping others to the best of your abilities, and dont be hypocrite, i found that leading by example is the best way, eventually shell see how great you are and decides she want to be like that, and then so on and so forth, that what i have found works, and DONT be reading bible verses to her every second of the day, cause that might make her think of god as boring and annoying

  • @dioschica2013 good for your friend

  • @Gordonisgreat

    umm...no...not really.

  • @dioschica2013 really really.

  • @Gordonisgreat

then i guess we should agree to disagree.

i will pray that God softens your heart toward Him.

  • @dioschica2013 -that's not agreeing to disagree, that's cheating. You dont know my heart. It is remarkably soft. It just doesnt believe in magic.

  • @Gordonisgreat

i don't believe in magic either! i believe in the saving power of the Lord Jesus Christ! He has turned my life around. He has saved me from an eternity of burning in Hell. He has accepted me, sin and all, to live with Him for an eternity in Heaven!

  • @dioschica2013 - god, magic, the supernatural - watever you want to call it. You believe in an afterlife - that's magic. You believe in an invisible man who grants wishes - that's magic.

Someone told you that you were dirty so they could sell you a crate of soap.

  • @Gordonisgreat

God is not a magical act. i don't believe in magic or the supernatural or superstitions or whatever else you want to to call God. i only believe in God. i'm sorry if you think that God is a magical act. and sometimes, most of the times, actually, seeing isn't believing...believing is seeing. i have faith that God sent His only Son to die for you and me. and the rest of the world. i wish you did too. He loves you and me no matter what we've done.

  • @dioschica2013 - you cant believe in an afterlife without believing in the supernatural. If it wasnt magic then it be "natural" instead of "supernatural".

Faith means believing without any good reason - I'll pass on that.

Thor loves you too, but you never call him!

  • @Gordonisgreat

i know what faith means. i have struggled with faith for years! i just pray that He'll soften your heart to HIM! i believe you that you have a soft heart, i just pray that it'll soften towards Him!

  • @Gordonisgreat

Eh, a common misconception of faith is that faith is blind.

The Greek word behind "faith" in the New Testament is pistis. As a noun, pistis is a word that was used as a technical rhetorical term for forensic proof.

And an earlier point, God doesn't grant wishes. He's not a candy dispenser.

We could go on and on arguing, but it's not my place to do so, and arguing head on rarely changes someones mind.

  • @dioschica2013 I know what you mean... I was in that same situation and i was so frustrated! But you know what? Just continue being the good friend that you are and show the love and kindness of the Lord. Even if that friend does something to you, keep on loving him/her and remind her God loves her. But, becareful. You don't want to force, pressure your friend into it. Just pray and let God be in control. Only God can save her. Just plant a seed into her life.

  • i need help. i have a friend, and she is SOO lost, she doesnt know what to believe. she says she sort of believes in god, but she believes in so many things, and is confused by all the other religions and i tried talking to her about god, but i really need to find the right words to say to make her want to love god. i just cant find the right powerful words to say. can some1 help me?

  • The right words to say are in the Bible "The word of God is sharper than any two edged sword" It is the only thing powerful enough to change lives. Read the Bible, or perhaps google verses on God's love... there is so much there. Show her these verses and tell her this is from God's letter to her. Msg me if you would like further help. :)

  • Have you shared your testimony with her. Have you remembered what it was like for you in that moment that God became your God. She can also prove Him, He can stand the test of any other "god" just as Elijah did on Mt. Carmel against the prophets of Baal. "Who ever answers by fire let Him be God". Our God answered then and He is still answering now. You either plant of water God gives the increase. God's blessing be with you and your friend.

  • share your life testimony with your friend? people can doubt the gospel. but no one can say that your life experience isn't real.

  • like an above comment i too am trying to help a friend HanniKay gave me me great advice keep loving her and praying for her that's all you can do God has to do the rest

  • Their is only one GOD.God loves you. He sent his son to die for you, HE doesnt want anyone to be lost. Its a gift from GOD. You have a choice to accept the gift or not. Its a freewill.

  • Ask the friend if you can pray with her, GOD cant do anything if the person doesnt want God ,too, If GOD could, that would be force, which he will never do.If you pray with her, GOD can help then. A door has been opened then. Pray with her that she finds the right answers.

  • so basically man is God's "God" is what you're saying. According to you, we get to tell God to jump and then He asks "how high?" ...that's heresy and totally unscriptural. Man can never limit God...God does whatever He wants, and whatever answers in prayer He gives is based on what HE deems best. Not us...

God does do things we don't want Him to. Look at how sin is so great in the world! But it's all within His sovereign control, in His plan. Whatever happens, HIS will be done...not man's.

  • man CAN limit God dude. remember when jesus said that only in a prophet's own town is he not received? and the scripture goes on to say that he COULD NOT do many miracles there BECAUSE OF THEIR UNBELIEF. Jesus CANNOT give us something that we are not willing to receive

  • That verse isn't to suggest that God's power was somehow diminished because of their unbelief. It's not that He CAN'T it's that He WONT. But the point I mean to make is that God isn't going to give us every little thing we want. Sometimes He WONT because He has a higher purpose/better plan.

  • Christ didn't do many miracles there probably as an act of mercy, "so that the exposure to greater light would not result in a worse hardening that would only subject them to great condemnation. He had the power to do more miracles, but not the will, because they rejected Him." (MacArthur StudyBible)

God has done things in my life that I didn't believe or not wanted Him to do. So He's not always limited based on what I think, and same goes for you. Ultimately, God does what He wills.

  • yea but you'd be foolish to not want to have God & Jesus in your life.

  • i agree. except that jesus is God, so to say god and jesus is to say the president of usa and barack obama. but i agree that you'd be very foolish not to want Jesus in your life

  • yuo dont have to worry about what god is the real god cause alot of gods people make up if you read the bible you would know that none made up my god

  • YESHUA IS THE TRUTH!!!!!!!!

  • Christians for so long have been considered simple minded. I believe that God requires us to come to Him as little children and second, maybe those who think we're simple minded are wrong. I ask them "what if there's more, what if there's hope you've never dreamed of hoping for?" You've got a 50/50 chance of being wrong...good luck!

  • no there is a god becasuse he answers prayers

  • What if He loves us? I know He loves us!!!

  • Excellent song. Nicole sings the truth. Asking What if is a great way to get unbelivers thinking about eternity. Jesus is The Way, The Truth, and The Life. He is the Savior!
